On this day in 2020:

During the spring and summer I like to go on bike rides around Minneapolis. Minneapolis has a great variety of vistas to ride through, it’s a great biking town with well-tended bike paths…and it’s pretty flat.

But they are TWIN cities, so what about Saint Paul? On this day I gave it a whirl. The ride I took was…ok. It was NOT flat, the roads are kinda rough, it wasn’t as fun (at least, on this day and on this route). But at least I had a nice sunny day, as you can see from this photo of the State Capitol, taken with my iPhone SE 2020:

Pine Siskin. A small finch. During time I took this at sometimes we had several hundred at our feeders. When pine cone seeds and other foods to north in Canada are scarce they head south looking for food. There were so many I even had half dozen eating seeds from my hands a fun experience. Although unfortunately in these iterations as they are called many do not find food and survive as they move south into mainland US.

an excellent example of breaking the two main rules of only one photo a day and must be your own image. 🙂 sometimes the story is better as two halves.
