Here in Michigan, it’s fall, but this picture brings to mind spring, as a Red-tailed Hawk was building a nest. I wish we could have just the first half of fall and then jump straight to spring. I'm not much of a winter person, although I do find the first real snowfall to be beautiful in a peculiar way.

One of the figures of Atlas supporting the entrance to the Cuvilliés Theatre in Munich that evidently can't stand his own armpit funk. Shot with a Nikon F80 and a Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD lens on Kodak Portra 160—thank goodness for image stabilization on a film camera!

(edit: my mistake—this particular roll was actually Kodak Ultramax 400)
