Strangely hypnotic...
Especially standing in the middle of the station concourse with your neck bent back at 90 degrees to look up at this...
You might be on to something there Oblomow - I have a couple of shots more on the diagonal but why don't you post your version and let us see?hehehe. No security guards pushing you around? "nothing to see Sir, please move along"
I like the photo, but I've been playing with it. I somehow like it better if it's not symmetrical (cropped at the bottom).
This thread (as usual with this place) needs more photos containing people.

I'd agree but good people photos like yours are difficult to take! It's easier with inanimate objects
I'm halfway through a B&W film on my Lordomat C35 (1950s 35mm) but I keep forgetting to take it out with me.

Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland. This site is about to change radically, with construction of a new office/apartment scheme on the site of the derelict flour mills to the left:

That's where inanimate people come in!

Ok here is is. Nothing special, just a crop. Less static than the square image.
Hmm... personally I like the symmetry of the original.
Another one from earlier in the evening. Comments always appreciated.

Wow...nicely done anotherscotsman. Beautiful light very well captured with a perfect exposure.
Cheers C&A - stayed in the same area for a couple of hours round sunset to see if the sky got interesting - this was about the best it got. Pity, but you take what you can. The double light source on the water (sun + reflection from building) helped the interest. Waited till the sun went behind the Empire State to try to avoid blow-out.

It has a beautiful symmetry, no doubt about that. But I found that I was not looking around in the image. (if you get what I mean).
Is that that weird skinning apartment building just off centre there? Saw it in June and it just looks too narrow to be able to stand up.
Yes, it's the other side of the dock from the theatre and yes, it's a fabulous place to walk around in; a great example of urban regeneration done well.Lovely shot. That area is lovely to walk round next to the music theatre right?

If you mean the Alto Vetro building (see below), then yes!
