I must admit I thought the symmetry suited the geometric nature of the beast but I get where Oblomow is coming from in terms of introducing a bit of imbalance for interest.

Absolutely. I just think it was the geometry that first struck me on seeing it so now I struggle to unsee it if that makes sense?

Totally get what you mean, just shows we all see different things. I get what you were doing but I suppose it comes down to the initial impression we get when we see an image. Interesting experiment isnt it?

Yes, that's part of the fun of watching other people's photos. "Do I like it?" "Why?" "Could/would I make this shot?" "What would I do different?"

And of course, Pure Jealousy when watching a great shot or a beautiful location (or worse: a combination!) :)

Different set up! This was for my daughters art project. I will revisit the splash set up one wet weekend in autumn.
Seems to have morphed into dads ligjting project :)

Nice flash rig. I fancy one of those but want the 90mm macro for my camera first.

This one was my 2nd choice for the competition - right or wrong the one I submitted is hopefully a little more subtle.

Cheers :)
