Can I refer you back to my earlier response regarding jealousy...
I LOVE this...
After my feeble people-containing effort, it's back to the inanimate I'm afraid. Comments always appreciated.
Gantry Park urban by another scotsman, on Flickr
That bit of shoreline down to Hunters Point certainly seems to have been under recent redevelopment - still a few remnants of the old warehouses and port activities. Seems like a popular place judging from the number of people making use of the park. New eyes...Have a look at some of the other pictures from the park.Wow, I didn't even know that park existed. I used to live in Astoria which is right next to Long Island City and I remember that location where Gantry Park is as a collection of warehouses and commercial spaces. There was nothing scenic about it at that time. Next time I'm visiting the old neighborhood I'll have to stop off there.
Nice colours. Any shots of the intricacies of the pattern on her dress? That style of outfit is so vibrant!

Blue hour Pepsi(R) by another scotsman, on Flickr
Comment would be, this has been a lovely series of images... I am looking forward to trying to get something even close to this nice when I head over in November.
Thanks for posting. I love the Pepsi logo there - they have a special place in my memories as they are the reason I was over there working for a year.
Many thanks Kenoh - I was pretty pleased with what I got in essentially one late afternoon/evening. Perhaps a sad way of spending an evening in New York but each to their own Looking forward to what you bring back.
I have one of those too but mine just wanted to check out my Apple Watch.Monarch - Presqu'ile Provincial Park

Mate, you have most definitely set the bar too high for me...
That's a great set of photos on flickr from Gantry Park and the neighborhood has certainly changed from when I lived in the area, those high rise apartment buildings were not there at that time. Hunters Point up through the 80s, which is the last time I was through there, consisted of a mix of single family, brownstones and some large apartment buildings and the commercial area down by the waterfront. I'm definitely stopping off there the next time we're visiting in Astoria.

I know the feeling....
Really dramatic lighting - deliberately staged? Regardless, love it.
