In a change from the usual landscape shots I'd normally take in DC, here's probably my first people-shot on the forum. Trombonist and drummer at a Peace Corp celebration on the lawns of the Capitol building. Tried to take Micky Do's helpful pointers into account. Comments always appreciated.

Very nice. Depth of field, clarity, sense of action. I should also point out that it helps that I'm a big fan of jazz (I'm assuming they are playing jazz; it could be classical I guess as it and jazz are the only genres of music that feature trombonists that I can think of).

These youngsters lost their families in the 26 Dec 2004 tsunami. They are looked after by the Asia Centre Foundation, the charity supported by the Phuket Rugby 10s. Just as they started their performance the sky opened with a tropical downpour.

Much appreciated inkmich. Sounded like jazz to my untrained ear but actually had a tune I could recognise and follow :)(dig at some of the 'improvisational' jazz I've come across in the past). The musician was clearly enjoying playing and it came across in his performance.

Back to my usual people-free comfort zone. Comments always appreciated.
