Here you go, a bit of experimentation with some dramatic B&W. Interestingly I shot this on my RX100 and I shoot that in Monochrome. So this is closer to how I saw it at the time.

Have been flat out like a lizard lately, dealing with getting a participants exhibition together & yesterday I got the images hung for my own launch tomorrow afternoon! I got to speak on an open forum panel session today for the 2018 Shimmer Biennale Photographic Festival about my path to recovery from intense mental health challenges as facilitated through digital photography & tomorrow morning I have a Mindful Photography walk around a coastal & estuary area close by. The winery I have been paired with is the perfect space for my images, which look really nice in their space! This time around they are all printed at A1 & A2 sizes, so pack a little more punch than my previous efforts, where I have only printed at A3 or slightly larger.

Oh, I forgot, I got a 21 page feature, a cover & a silver award in the latest Camerapixo fine art photography release out of Europe!

I'm guessing a sculpture of some type?

Yes, Kenoh and AFB, it is a metal sculpture made of brass or maybe its copper(?) nail-like things, that I got in a artsy-sort of shop some years ago. I started out shooting the entire thing, but wasn't happy with the results, so then decided to move in closer....and closer...... This was shot in natural light as I was too lazy to fool with setting up lights and all that. When I took the image files into the computer for processing I was surprised at the colors I was seeing, which were more vivid and with additional hues than is normally apparent to the eye when looking at the thing.

Please forgive the wonkiness of the perspective in this shot. One of these days I will have to get a proper post-processing tool. There is potential I feel in the picture though.

Our community lost a 15 year old girl today to cancer. She leaves behind her parents and three sisters, one of whom is good friends with my daughter. I cannot even imagine what the family is going through. Our hearts weep with them.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and there are several instagram hashtags in honor of this, with the intention of shooting gold. So I took this in memory of Kelly.

Stayed indoors for the most part of the day and feel relaxed by listening to earphones audiophile style. I thought the outside ambient lighting would create some unwanted shadows but the +1/3 EV metering adjustment did the trick without the need for post processing
