Have been flat out like a lizard lately, dealing with getting a participants exhibition together & yesterday I got the images hung for my own launch tomorrow afternoon! I got to speak on an open forum panel session today for the 2018 Shimmer Biennale Photographic Festival about my path to recovery from intense mental health challenges as facilitated through digital photography & tomorrow morning I have a Mindful Photography walk around a coastal & estuary area close by. The winery I have been paired with is the perfect space for my images, which look really nice in their space! This time around they are all printed at A1 & A2 sizes, so pack a little more punch than my previous efforts, where I have only printed at A3 or slightly larger.

Oh, I forgot, I got a 21 page feature, a cover & a silver award in the latest Camerapixo fine art photography release out of Europe!

Another shot from the last portrait shoot I posted yesterday. Taking it down to eye level... she is missing bottom eye lashes on right eye... so I added them in. :)

Took a picture of a water fountain at night with a iPhone 8 as I was curious about how it would do. I found the resulting picture interesting, it has a painterly look to me.

I don't know I why I get a chuckle out of a squirrel carry his/her lunch, for they always look like they are guilty of something. :D
College campus squirrels are quite a spectacle. I remember seeing one hauling off half a bagel. Those guys were as big as beavers.

Thanks... I do have a closeup before-after slider adding lashes on this pic on my website... blog site for now until I build up my portfolio. I'm still a newbie in photography. Trying to learn what I can from this thread/sub-forum, YouTube, etc...

I'm no people shooter, but looks like you're doing alright to me.

With the shadow and dark sky what does this look like in B&W to you? I’m curious. I can imagine some scene from an old time horror or film noir movie.

I agree. That image has some interesting light and shadow that would appear at first glance to have potential as a monochrome photograph.

Thank you all, this humble little sub-forum here has had a huge part to play in the development & refining of my imagery over the years. Listening to & along the way taking on-board the infrequent feedback & gems offered by others here has really helped me with my photography. I'd like to thank all of you for the parts you have played in this process! This really is a special little corner of the world for me.

Congrats on your success!

Congratulations. Well deserved.

What, that's all you been doing! ;) Congratulations on these latest achievements Alex. Love the look of that shot hanging in the winery...it's perfect!

The feeling is very much mutual my friend. It is absolutely amazing to see one of our own doing so well.

Well your not the only one who thinks that.
I love coming on here and seeing the beautiful images. But more than that seeing how the photographers develop over the years.

I'm guessing a sculpture of some type?

Here you go, a bit of experimentation with some dramatic B&W. Interestingly I shot this on my RX100 and I shoot that in Monochrome. So this is closer to how I saw it at the time.
