Summer is done and I feel I've hardly been out to shoot. Mind you these clouds make for a lovely image.It's been raining almost every evening for the last few weeks.
Thanks. Here’s an alternate crop of it. Wasn’t sure which one worked better. I like the background of the original, but I also managed to get pretty good detail on the monarch.

I've been messing around with macro water/liquid drops. For some strange reason, it's something that's always fascinated me.

After doing yard work and a few other chores I didn't have much time for photography, so I posted a picture of my bedtime snack. 
These are called purple Australian flowers!
(Or something similar!)
Gallardia. The rain finally stopped and the sun came out!
Visited the town of Chamonix in the French Alps back in August and have a slew of pics. The height of 3800 metres after taking the cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi was noticeable in the cool temperature and thin air. Enjoyable excursion and had a nice meal in a restaurant back down in the village.
