Aw man that is amazing!

Here is my crappy attempt from this morning

DSCF3640.jpg by Ken OHagan, on Flickr

Thanks Ken. As for your shot, it's a good photo and the only things I'd say are make sure the tripod is completely still and weighed down, as there is a bit of shake evident. Other than that, possibly lift the shadows a bit? It's a nice cascade and the shutter speed is making the water dreamy looking :)

After doing yard work and a few other chores I didn't have much time for photography, so I posted a picture of my bedtime snack. :D

Cinnabons.... ??? yum yum.... I wish we got them over here in the UK.... I would be even fatter than I am already!

A gloomy, dreary, cloudy and rainy day here, so time to reach into the archives and pluck an interesting macro floral image:

I am wondering if it is the IBIS on the camera causing the shake. I need to try again and turn it off.

Oh here we go.... :) lol....

That and I had the strap hanging on the tripod - I know, schoolboy error.... It was a recon mission to find the falls. I intend to go back... :)

I wrap mine round and it sort of folds in between a lever on my tripod so it doesn't flap about. I had considered going the full Thomas Heaton and ditching the straps or going for Peak Design anchors, but I'm not going to lie - I'm feart

Also, I'm going to pass on the X-T3, as much as I love it and think Fuji have come out with a belter!

I think the X-T3 is a great camera. XTrans 4 is undoubtedly an improvement but I need to actually get good with what I have already and stop gear hopping.

I have peak design straps on all my gear. They are great.

Thomas Heaton is my favourite landscape photographer. Love his passion for the outdoors.

I use a black rapid strap and fastener. You can mount it to an arca Swiss tripod mount. It just clips on and off.

My 6 year old daughter loves Little House on the Prairie. She even has a Laura doll. We are even talking about making a trip to Mansfield one of these days.

My daughter is 12 now so kind of past the Little House stage but I think the series will become a strong memory and foundation for her.

Tanagra (not really)
Vader & Zeb (cat). Was taking out the trash bin tonite and snapped this.
I was just commenting to my wife today about how cats seem to like to be on the person that wants them the least. I guess it applies to more than just people!

It does put some things in perspective. When the kids are bored, we mention the pig blatter ball. The kicker is, they would probably like one! My daughter once found a stick that looked like a person. She then proceeded to dress it in leaf clothes and named it Quintecinco. I’ll maybe post it tomorrow. :)

Rural Southern Virginia

One of the best photos of this place that I've seen.

A couple of decades ago I had the good fortune of commuting between Flagstaff and Vail for about four years, and this was easily one of the best parts of the drive.

A beautiful shot.

An amazing building.

I used to wander down the hill to study there sometimes. Nothing like it.
