The first cold front of the fall came through this morning right after sunup ... about 3 weeks earlier than normal. Edge of the front is the clear spot on the lower right.

My very first try at Andromeda. This is unstacked 13sec (ISO640) image from RIV and Samyang 135mm f/2.0, edited in LR.

I waited for a long time until there would be appropriate weather, no moon, etc. I also have images for stacking from this series which I took today. Just went home and through the files, and played a bit with a single image.
 
We had a rare lightning storm here in the central valley in CA, I drove up to a local hilltop and was able to grab this shot. The camera was on a tripod with a remote shutter release, about 2 dozen attempts and was lucky to get this one right in front of the lens.
