Creamery

Tillamook County Oregon. We discussed going to Tillamook Creamery. I drove the tow car 50-miles from Seaside Oregon. Highway 101 wound its way through tall trees and hilly terrain. The nav app I was rellying on instructed me to take a left turn. My brother objected, and I said - Nav said to go this way. For the next 10-miles we drove through a twisty rural road. My brother was not happy, complaining about each bump and hung on tightly to the door. We re-merged with Hwy 101 and made our way to Tillamook. I parked the car. We saw a Tesla model 3 at a Tesla charging station. As we looked at the setup, a man with his dog came over. I asked him if this was his Tesla, he said no, that he had a Tesla parked nearby. I asked him about the cost to charge the car. He mentioned that Tesla owners of cars 2016 and earlier got free for life charging. We walked to the front entrance, there was a big graphic of a cow face on the windows above.

Triangulum galaxy.

135mm, f/2.0, ISO200, 5x120sec stacked. Texture is a bit low res but that was the best I could achieve after all the data ‘stretching’, cropping, etc.

It is also much smaller if compared to Andromeda (both are in the sample there): https://pixels.com/featured/andromeda-galaxy-triangulum-galaxy-jeff-dai.html and with magnitude 5.72 is harder to capture.

Considering that it is 2.73 million light-years from earth - it looks awesome

More from Waterton National Park. This shot from the Akamina Parkway (road to Cameron Lake) gives a much better idea of the devastation caused by the 2017 Kenoh Fire. Fuji Xp90

Scary wall of destruction!
I'm afraid to see what's left after the fires of this summer with the heat dome. Lytton we know, sadly.
There is so much devastation on the West coast, sadly.

nyc on portrait 400; my manual focus didn't quite catch the cake like i anticpated, but for some reason i still really like this image
Me too. The highlights off of the lid of the cake (copper?) and the colored lights give it a “sharpness” in a way, a place for the eye. Can’t say enough about the tonal transitions and color renditions in those scans for that film stock. Gorgeoulicious.
