Top of South tower from my apartment through 800mm lens attached to a Petri 35mm.

This is how I remember the WTC - a place I could see every day, visited many times, and worked at for many years as an adult (on 101st fl)

9.11 was the worst day in my life, but I have moved on..that's all I want to say.
Thank you for posting this remarkable photo. Such an amazing photo. Just looking at it gives me chills. Made me cry. Definitely touched my heart. I bet you have so many stories about the WTC. I still can't believe that it does not exist anymore. Manhattan, New York is definitely not the same without it. WTC was just so iconic!

All kinds of birds at feeders in our yard sometimes birds looking to feed on other birds. Here is a beautiful Coopers Hawk that sometimes visits looking for a mealā€¦

This is so touching, thank you, itā€™s a very emotional day for all of us.

But yes, lots of stories and many people over a few decades - from the elevator operators and construction workers to execs on the 105th floor and their wood burning fireplaces + everything in between. I loved those buildings!

A couple of little tidbits: during high wind conditions water in the toilets swished around and ceiling tiles creaked liked crazy. Oh, and elevators from the skylobby on 77 going to 101-105 usually stopped working as a result of the winds too. Good times ā¤ļø
