Doing some star gazing with the girls the other night and caught StarLink going over on a 30 second exposure.
Did not turn out quite the way I expected but here it is regardless.

This is Horace warming himself up on the neighbour’s roof after a bath. He’s a rare leucistic sparrow that has been living in our garden for the past few months. I’m surprised that the resident sparrowhawk (Beryl…..yeah we name a lot of the birds in our garden…so what?!) hasn’t taken him on one of her many daily raids of our sparrow bush, as they are more vulnerable to predators.
Horace is probably a girl…..but we like the name.

Lol. We name the birds in our garden as well. Accept for the bluetits. Too many of them to name them all!
B&W photography reminds me of my college days working part-time at Elliot's Camera Shop's B&W film lab. I should have paid them for the experience that started my life long love for photography! 😄

That’s when you just have a collective name for them all. Our Bluetits are all called Leonard, because that’s what we called the first one we saw.
Then we have the Barries (jackdaws), The Sopranos (collared doves), the Carls (Great Tits), the Simons (Robins), The Horde (Starlings) and The Sparrow Babies. We have a few Wood Pigeons but have only named two of them - Anthony and Phil. Anthony hates Phil and chases him around the garden and smacks him upside his head with his wing.
We’re strange people 🤣
Our pigeons are called Bert and Ernie. Occasionally we get three. He’s called Bernie.
The Doves are called Fred and Freda.
