Is that a motor?? :Q Looks like a fossiled motor if it is...

Yeah, that's a car engine. I find it a perfect picture for Flint, a worn-down, trashed, used-up city.

Really? WTF were you thinking!

Just kidding. I am curious why you moved here though. If your from anywhere big, your in for quite a culture shock =]

Ha!

We moved here because I took a job with a different company. We lived in Phoenix AZ.

Not a big deal though, my wife and I are originally from Indiana. ;)

That close-up is beautiful! Thanks!

For contrast, I found this from my iPhoto library. It's from my parents' house (where I still lived when I took that picture) from summer 2003.. Taken at about 5am.
(snip)

Nice range of colour in the sky there.

How's Finland for visiting in about the beginning of May? I'm looking for somewhere to go to get away from Ottawa for couple weeks within the next 6 months.

Classic Pittsburgh. Odd Angle.

I'm just curious, although I highly doubt it. There is a woman in my apartment complex who just moved here from Phoenix AZ. Did you move into apartment #4?

Hard to say.. May might bring anything. Sometimes it's like 25°C, and then it might be just raining and 10°C :p If you don't mind bad weather it's ok though.

As I said, it might be great, but it might suck too. A safer choise would be going somewhere in Middle-Europe I think.

Some shots of downtown Madison Wisconsin.

OMG! What's the name of this place?! Seems like a place I visited twice a couple of years back when visiting Scotland. It was somewhere pretty near Edinburgh I think.. Aberdine or something like that.

It would be so funny if these photos were from there! :D

I live in the UK. My town has the worlds biggest disco ball.

Nothing else I can show you will impress you more!

I took the shot for this and developed this for college. As you can see it isn't digital.

Thank you jlewis2k1, your pictures bring back fond memories of my 10 years that I lived in Omaha. Still have a very good friend there that I call at least twice a year.

Guess it is my turn to contribute, I'll have to split it up into two posts.

These were all taken with my old Canon Powershot S45:

arch_shot.jpg

Shot from up in the St. Louis Arch

arch.jpg

And the Arch itself

park.jpg

Walkway in the park where the Arch resides

metro_station.jpg

Metrolink stop for Laclede's Landing

landing.jpg

And part of Laclede's Landing

more next post!

Ok here are the rest:

busch.jpg

Busch Stadium, home of the Cardinals (against the Reds the day Griffey hit 500)

crowd.jpg

At the Edward Jones dome for a Rams game, this is a shot of the crowd coming in one of the entrances as I went up the escalator

budweiser.jpg

A shot of part of the Anheuser-Busch campus, that is part of the brewery

apple_store.jpg

And of course, have to include a shot of our newest Apple store at the St. Louis Galleria, this was the morning of the grand opening.

Well I hope you all enjoyed those, those were all taken throughout 2004 as I said with my old Powershot...When I get the chance I will roam around the city with my new Digital Rebel and attempt to get some new and better shots!

Thanks for looking!

Very nice pictures Deefuzz, well done. Thank you for sharing. I have a brother-in-law that lives in St Charles near St. Louis. ;)
