Leaving for Portland, Oregon in the morning (2 day trip) so I won't be posting or viewing everyones great work. Hope to share some decent shots of the trip when I get back. This is my cousin, wanted it to have a glamour effect,
but might have blurred too much.

ahhhhhh I've wanted a DSC-R1 so badly for so long. Finally got around to buying one when I found a deal good enough to justify the purchase and found out the dealer was fraud. Anyway, great picture! How do you like the camera??

Thanks SRSound and Yakamoto.
The Sony is fantastic. It meets my needs admirably. I especially like the lens, the build quality and the lcd screen. I used the stealth mode made possible with the Sony look-down-flip-up lcd for the "Duk Ladies" picture (and other street candids posted here). I hold the camera cradled at waist level (very steady) with the lens pointing 90 degrees to the way my body is facing, look down to frame, all the while pretending not to be taking a picture. ;)

My Canon A620 has this feature as well. I use it ALL the time for candid shots. Thats one of the reason I'll always keep a nice P&S along with my new dSLR because its hard to take candid shots with a big huge camera plastered to your face, lol

Crazy sunset indeed. I have a few photos like that taken last week (although I never seem to post in this thread as much as I should... ), but I don't think I'll be posting that today.

Taken with my Nikon D50, 50 mm f/1.8. :)
