Where does it say that?

Also, the page says there is an ISO 100 setting, and I don't believe this is possible with the sensors used by Nikon in the D50 or the D70s (different sensors in these cameras, but same (Sony?) sensor limitation). And since there is no way to adjust ISO in 1/3 EV increments/decrements, I also don't think you can get to ISO 1000 using the D50, or at least I don't remember ever seeing an option on my D50.

Sensitivity : ISO equivalency 200 to 1600 in steps of 1 EV

No, you cannot select ISO 1000 manually but this photo was one of the couple I shot in auto mode, just copied and pasted what the file said, didn't look at it.

Edit: Basically I am saying that this is rather ISO 800 and the camera wrote it wrong or something, as I don't think the cam can do ISO 1000 in auto mode

I kinda like this one. Ma¥be it's because there's a "bullet" train here in Korea that I like called the KTX. Regardless, I hope to go to Japan soon to look around; it's really close.

In this truly wonderful market, I found a narrow alley that houses wrapping paper sellers.

I like this one, very clean lines and rich colors. So far S. Korea seems to be a very unique place. Hopefully I'll go one of these days too. :D
Thanks for the reply earlier.
The Shinkansen in my pic is the (Tokaido Shinkansen) from Osaka to Tokyo.

My first thought was there is no ISO 1000 on D50, I looked back on some of my first photos taken on my D50 (I used auto mode) and I'm getting ISO 220, 250, 280, 320, 360, etc.

not sure what this means then

Interesting shot. Why the drop shadow?

Wondering how such high quality resolution is maintained with a 244.1kb size limit? Are there tricks that I don't know about?

ECF
No trickery involved, the 244.1kb limit is for Thumbnail Attachments.
In order to reach that size most images need to be reduced in size quite abit.
The larger images you see here are from people using an online photo sharing
site, which allows for better resolution and size, even though it's not as good as the original.

Fantastic shot, greenmac!

ECF, some people use their own hosting so are not constrained by the attachment size limit. Even so, if you use the right software and appropriate resizing, sharpening, and compression techniques, it is quite easy to get a high quality 244kb file.

No, it's ISO 1000. On the D50 and all other current Nikon cameras, ISO AUTO (which is engaged in AUTO mode) will move in steps that are not consistent with the ISO step setting you have in your menus. In the case of the D50, you can only manually select full stops. Even so, you will get 1/3 stops, 1/2 stops, or even 1/6 stops when you use AUTO mode on the D50 or ISO AUTO on other cameras.
