Really nice shot. If you have photoshop or similar it may be worth tilting the horizon a degree or so left. I aways find sea horizons that are not level a bit distracting (might be just me:eek: ). I shot a ton of sea views on holiday last year from a very uneven beach all of them had the sea running downhill, a few minutes in photoshop with the grid superimposed did the trick.

Sunday's pic

I am doing my first band shoot later, they want a sort of industrial lonely feel.
I found this when scouting for locations yesterday

Great color and background, but I think the lights are a bit harsh. Obviously a very reflective surface, so hard to get it smooth, but I would like a bit more diffusion perhaps.

That sinking feeling. I want to take more of these simple shots I find myself being drawn into this type of image far more than landscapes etc. mmmm. reaches for the pills:eek:
A striking image. Just wouldn't be the same in colour

Thanks for the comment. And I can relate to how you feel about being drawn to "simple shots". There are several people here that regularly post "simple stuff" -- and I find it very inspirational. I don't have much in the way of "traditional" landscapes to photograph where I live, so it encourages me focus on other stuff, which can be very rewarding.

I was lucky to walk into an EB Games the moment their UPS delivery was made, and pick up a PS3 at its standard price.

I tried taking this pic atleast 20 times. Everytime it came out blurry, or the reflections weren't showing right. There's some very obvious shake problems in this pic, especially around the PS3 logo, but it was the best one I had. Definitely nothing spectacular, but I think it was an interesting idea.

I love that picture Oblivious. Were those the natural colors, or did you edit anything? Either way, it looks great.

Here's mine... Taken IN MY CAR while waiting at a stop light, at a highway exit/onramp in Independence, MO. I think it turned out pretty good for being one of those "quick pics."

Thanks.:)
The colors on the horizon are essentially unedited, but because the sky was so much brighter when I took the shot, I had to lighten up the foreground a bit in Lightroom. I also had to bring out the yellow in the lobster trap to reflect the natural colors. So, yes and no... I edited it, but only to reflect the natural colors.

It's funny, at first glance it looked like there was a GIANT "Do Not Enter" sign off in the distance.:D Anyway, for some reason I kind of like the sign there.
