Picture of the day...

Just wanted to contribute, I got myself my first DSLR yesterday, I've been using a compact olympus for the past few years.
It was set to auto as I've not even begun to discover it's power yet, but this one one of the first shots I took with it, so I wanted to show it

it's my pup Roo, I was throwing him potato treats and shooting at the same time.

Unfortunately as we were on a tour, I didn't have much choice in that. I think this was around 1am-ish. I agree though. It needs work on the left side too. I think I need to tone it down. I don't think the slide is quite as bright on that side.

I live the balance in this photo and the perspective.
I wonder if the color of the rock in the lower left is not a bit distracting. Since it is so monochromatic anyway, what about converting to B&W?
Just a thought.
