interesting picture, I think that it would look better if you cropped it so that you can't see the railings.

This entire weekend I was swamped with both work and snow, so here's another "not-so-great" pic, because I don't have much of a backlog of pics...

thank you. It was the first time I used a DSLR in any real amount of snow - so I used bracketing a lot.

Big Sky Mountains

Sunset in Big Sky, Montana was always picture-time. Great colors against the white mountains.

Thanks for the comments. I was torn between the cropped and uncropped versions of the image. In the end I felt that the railings provided an interesting addition because their cylindrical shape produces soft or feathered edges. If they had produced hard edges I would have removed them.
 
Wow, took this while walking, didn't bother setting it up or anything. Just a fire hydrant outside my school. Added the B&W effect in iPhoto.
