The Chairs

I was invited to shoot the show I've been working on, and I really like this one a lot. Scenery; much of it built by yours truely, and I love it.

G5Unit - I actually really your picture. I think that cropping the one on the right that is blown out would help, but I like images like that.

Weazle1098 - is that the Eugene Ionesco play? I read that years ago, really liked it. The vignetting is a bit much on the top, maybe a slight crop so it does not weigh down the picture so much. Great set by they way!

Anyway, here is mine for today, not great, just wanted to show the snow...

Hassy 500CM w/ 50mm lens
Unsure on settings, but probably f/8ish and 1/125th.

Not so good scanning job.

Is that the Eugene Ionesco play? I performed a few pieces for a friend once, and read that one. Not my favorite, but a good one! I love the ending!

This is my first photo post on the internet. Go easy on me.

I really like the colors and the framing. A few less tourists would have helped convey a more genuine feeling. :)

One criticism, though. The sky is overexposed, but in the digital domain it doesn't have to stay that way. Here's a similar situation I faced:

After a few minutes in Photoshop and a long time watching those Photoshop Guys, it became this:

Clouds were rendered with the Photoshop cloud-making machine. Highlights in the area beneath the sky were darkened selectively with a feathered or diffuse edge to avoid the appearance of sudden changes in light intensity.

Updated Post

Okay this is post one of two.

I posted the raw, unfinished, straight from the digital back the other night. This is the final photo done for a class at school for the project "Shooting to a layout".
