I have the actual glassware from Trappistes Rochefort, Westmalle, St Bernardus, Chimay, and Brasserie d'Achoufe, (and use it when quaffing or imbibing a beer) but have never laid eyes on this particular glass.
I almost bought an Orval glass too. They have every trappiste in existance available at the abbey, including the proper glassware. But I simply don't have enough room for more glasses!

I as a Dutchman should actually drink Heineken but I don't like it, I don't understand why so many people like that beer, they should look into Belgian beers.....
As a Dutchman myself, I tend to take a gander across the border and enjoy whatever the Belgians are making ;)

That said, I am vacationing in the Alps right now and I'm definitely enjoying Mönchshof Helles. The Germans really only know pils (and pils varieties) or weizen. So I'd miss my Tripel Karmeliet if I'd move here!

Currently I'm enjoying one of the Steambrews they don't sell in NL:

It depends on your personal taste, but there are also some nice beers to be found in Germany, but I prefer Belgian beers, my advantage is that I live in both the Netherlands and Belgium.

That's true. But hey, I live a short drive from both Belgium (cycling distance even) and Germany. So I can taste the best of both worlds as well! But I do notice that Beglian beers often aren't much cheaper over there than what we pay for it. German beer on the other hand sometimes is twice as cheap in Germany!

Where did you find that?

This is one of a few beers that I'd consider buying on bootle in a pub with a good (or even decent) selection on tap, so I'd love to taste it from tap. :)
Henry Street Ale House in Brooklyn Heights. Not sure where you are, but definitely worth the trip — greatest neighborhood and wonderful beer! :)

Well, I'm in Bergen, Norway, so I'm not coming over the Atlantic just for a beer.

But, there's a fair chance we'll go back to New York some day (been there twice), and I will make a note of the place until then... :)

Edit: I see it's not too far from the Grimaldi's Pizza under the bridge, which we did go to last time we were in NY, and I wouldn't mind a bit more exploring in Brooklyn.

Grimaldi's is all about the tourists) Next time you're in town check out Numero 28 (unfortunately the Brooklyn location closed during covid, but there are a few in Manhattan).

But yea, Brooklyn Heights is my favorite neighborhood in the world :)

Beer and crisps; wonderful. What a perfect way to pass the time on an August - or any - evening.

Enjoy.
First time finding this on tap! Yum.

A terrific beer, one I am more than partial to, and a reminder to treat myself to some in the near future.

Do enjoy.
