Same!

I've had the Pliny the Elder and loved it!
Ah, well, there you have me.

I have never encountered (let alone sipped, sampled, savoured) the legendary Pliny the Elder - which is another beer on my expanding beer bucket list.

For those who are acquainted with (or, familiar with) either of the Pliny beers, what are the differences (and indeed, similarities) between them?

I'm going to have to live through some of your posts/pictures, for at least the next few months anyway. I started taking some new medication last week, and I'm to stay off alcohol. I had one beer on Saturday and did not feel good at all (I admit to thinking I knew better than the doc's and 'one beer wont hurt').
WOW!

Hang in there @diggy33

It's going to be all that much better when you finally get to imbibe again!

After a medium long walk along the Thames, we're now sitting at The Cricketers at Kew Green, and after a refreshing Peroni, I'm now enjoying a slightly more bitter Pilsner Urquell.

The best of luck with it.

That looks amazing - enjoy what must have been one of the first beers of the year while sitting outside.
Had one outside, yesterday, too. And, as you can see we moved inside after that fist one...

Now, quite coincidentally we're at another pub, also called The Cricketers, in Richmond upon Thames, for an early dinner, and another beer:

The pub is crowded downstairs for the drinking crowd, but we have the dining area upstairs all to ourselves

Lovely.

Sounds absolutely wonderful - and yes, I can well imagine moving inside after (imbibing, sipping, savouring) that first glorious beer outside this year - do enjoy.

On a decently sunshiny Bank Holiday Monday the brisk and cool breeze drove us indoors to our favourite local, The Raven in Bath.

Raven Darkness… and lurking in the background a G&T with local Chew Valley Navy Strength Gin.

That looks absolutely delicious.
Certainly was! Second pint was even better. 😁
Wonderful.

Do enjoy.
