Here it is. Other than relacing the front hub, which will happen next week, it is done! It rides so nice :)

Awesome bike! I want a fixed gear so bad! I just put a 2011 Trek 1.5 on lay away, so I'm gonna pick up a fixed gear in the spring. I love the idea of having two different style of bikes to ride two different ways on.

Add another to the list. Great looking bike.

Are you going to get another aerospoke for the rear? I quite like the mixed look.

I don't understand having an Aerospoke in the front. I mean, I understand having it at all (it gets you street credz lols) but an aero wheel in the front and no aero in the rear gives no aerodynamic benefits. Also, it makes your bike front heavy (and thus difficult to stop) and is easier to steal.

If you DEMAND having a deep/aero wheel, make it your rear.

Beautiful, hmai18! What track frame is that? I half wish the lugs weren't also chrome, but it's nice nonetheless. :)

Your pictures have reminded me that my bike fit is completely wrong. :(

After more than four years of owning that bike, nobody I've talked to has been able to identify it. At some point down the road, I'd love to have the frame stripped again and repainted in a palette with white or cream and sky blue, but for now, the Silver Bullet she shall remain.

Why do you say your fit is wrong? I see that you've got quite the saddle to bar drop on yours, but if you're flexible enough to do it, why not?

I suppose that's the issue then. I tend to get lower back pain after the 30 km mark or so, even if I'm not riding in the drops. I can barely reach the drops and if I do so it's uncomfortable. I don't think I have enough steerer tube; I wish my bars were higher. The only thing I can do at this moment is flip my stem and get some shallow ergo drops. The saddle height, though it seems high, is comfortable for me, so I don't really want to change that. My bike just needs more steertube! Maybe I should invest in a new fork?

I bought this bike about a month ago and love it, rides really comfortably and is a massive departure from the mountain bikes I used to ride, I currently live in a very flat cyclist friendly city (York) so it made sense to get something to glide around town on.

I also own a suzuki gs125 ES it currently needs a little TLC as the oil drain gasket has a small leak, I'm waiting for a breakers bar to arrive before I can yank the thing out, cut out a new gasket from a cornflakes box cover it in gasket goop, rebuild it and finally get back on the road.

As soon as I can afford it I'll be doing my DAS so I can ride any bike, and I'd likely either get an ER-5 or an old zephyr 550 or 750 depending on what I can afford.

Your other (cheaper) option is to work on your core strength and flexibility. But even if you wanted to replace your fork, new ones shouldn't be too expensive either.

New York, Baby!
It's not much compared to some of those awesome fixies, but I picked this up today. I'll be doing only about 5km each day to get to and from work at first.

I'm going from next to no exercise to this, so combined with eating more sensibly, I should be able to lose quite a bit of weight. :)

Haden Lugs... my first thought was that it might be a Raleigh, but you'd likely have a couple of holes in the head tube for the heron.

It's not got vertical dropouts, nor braze-ons, so I'd lay money on it being from the '70's.

Could be anything... Cecil, Carlton... quite possibly custom too, does it have a serial number?

My early 70's Carlton Continental had a riveted head badge so there would also be holes in the head tube if it was one of them. The lugs also look a bit plain for a Carlton.

Sadly, this isn't mine.

There are holes in the HT for a badge. There's a serial number on the BB shell (M6A11286), but I haven't been able to turn anything up on it. I was told it was a Carlton by somebody before, but could never be verified. I'd be happy to upload close-up photos of any area if that'll help anybody with identification.
