SWEET

i was thinking about a Fusion before i bought the beamer..

how does it drive? any brake or transmission slamming issues like the taurus?

the sel is the luxury one right? with leather and all that stuff :)

the price for this car is damn good.. i saw used ones for 10-15k miles on for $13-$15k

I love the car. Handling and brakes are top notch. The 6 speed Aisin automatic is great. It's the same tranny that Toyota uses in the Camry so it has been tested for awhile. I also have all wheel drive, leather, moon roof, SYNC, Sirius Sat. audio, etc. Yeah the SEL is the nicest trim level. Here are a few more pics. These are from last April when I got it. It was new at the time.

It isn't a positive thing that it came from the Camry. When the new Camry came out back in 2007, the transmission refused to shift into 2nd and 6th gear. Though they did recall it and hopefully fixed the issue by now. Just don't go assuming things even with the perception of the Camry and Accord. ;)

It still makes me wonder though why Ford didn't use the 6 speed auto they and GM developed together. I love it in my Aura. :) Probably contract reasons, but I expect them to switch it to theirs with the Fusion's refresh in 2010(MY) I believe it is.

Thanks, it's a REALLY nice car, great value, was undecided between the BMW 320i or the Audi, i think i made the right choice, it's so smooth and handles like a dream.

I hope you aren't one of those people who drives around with their lights on all day. It is like a Christmas Tree at the front. I imagine people are sitting inside listening to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

DRLs are already required by law in Canada.
Even if you were to buy a new car from say the US without DRL, the car must have DRLs installed before it can be driven.

...Kinda sucks

its for safety. i know certain states require people to turn theres on when its foggy or rainy. it makes it easier for cars to be seen. its proven to cause less accidents....also do xenon (hid) lights.

anyways, here's my car.

2004 M3 - csl rear diffuser, painted reflectors and smoked turn signals are my current mods. more csl stuff to come.

Missouri has that law, basically, if your wipers are on, your headlights need to be on, but no one follows it and it's not enforced either. So DRLs help cover for people's stupidity and ignorance, although DRLs usually don't put on the rear lights, so they don't help you see cars in front of you.

My car has DRLs and I don't mind them. I don't think I can tell a difference in visibility during the day, but if it helps others see me and avoid hitting me, I'm OK with it. And I make sure to turn my full head/tail lights on when it's raining.

Is a manual box really that rare where you guys live that you need to list it as being part of the car?

Here it goes without saying a car has a manual box unless it explicitly says auto.

almost every car in the us is auto unless it's a sports car or an older car.

Yeah, don't you just love the US

I think everyone in this country needs to drive a manual, at least once, to know what it's like. I just love the people who are tailing me and nearly end up in my backseat when I've got the slight pause in acceleration from 1st to 2nd. Especially when they honk and flip me off because they think I'm just taking my foot off the gas for no reason.
