What do you do that dictates that you need a "car" like this?

Because if a man (or woman!) wants to drive a truck, they can. I don't think you need any added explanation.

And here is my ride I just sold (so sad, gas mileage was killing me):

And here is my new ride:

Second pic isn't first hand, but is the exact model/specs.

Here's my Cervini's Mustang GT.

Posted in one of the other threads.
5 speed, 380hp, Diablo 20" rims, Every option available except Nav,
A pleasure to drive, and a looker!
Added the hood pins myself, as the scoop is functional, and the hood would dance a bit above 100mph ( Not that I have driven it that fast ) :D
Handles great, doesnt kill me on gas too much, as it does about the same as my poorly tuned Bronco 2 6 cyl used to get.

Man this is nice... I have a horrible POS Stang 2001 and it is just falling apart. Back in the day I had dreams like that.

Sweet IS-F, phiberglass!

Did you consider, say, the new M3 sedan or a RS 4?

(just wondering why you chose the IS-F instead of one of its competitors)

I originally thought about the m3 but not the RS4 or C63. Also from the reviews I have read and watch seems as though the m3 is not competing well against the IS-F, RS4, and C63. I called up a local lexus dealer to see if they had an IS-F just for kicks and they said they got one in a day ago. I checked it out and the representative said that it was for someone on the waiting list and that he would call if he dropped out. So 2 days later turns out the guy dropped out for the Smokey Granite Mica and was available. I guess I just got lucky and did not have to get on the list so I ended up getting :D

It's an awesome car. Rides amazing and steering is very tight, especially in sport mode. I would much rather have a 6 speed instead of the 8 speed transmission they put in the IS-F. I've also never owned a car with paddle shifters so I have been having tons of fun. I'm at 801 miles at the moment (break in period on manual is 621 but dealers said 1000) So I'm still holding back from completely opening it up until I get to 1000. When that 2nd intake opens around 4k RPMs the car sounds absolutely amazing :)

^^ Pictures of pretty much everything inside/out of the car.

The car looks amazing. I love the rims, I'm guessing they are a gunmetal finish? When I first saw the car in magazines, I didn't like the bodykit. With the black, it's a much sexier looking car. Blue doesn't due it justice. Congrats and happy motoring! :D

For a great Lexus forum, check out http://clublexus.com/forums/index.php. They have a ton of really great information. I have learned a lot of about my car, even though it's a Toyota.

Glad to hear that....when I first read that your car didn't have ABS, I thought that you must've not liked it or something...

I'm a HUGE fan of ABS. I think it should be standard on all cars. It boggles my mind that it's STILL optional on a lot of cars. I don't get it. It's 2008, people. Time to start making it standard.

Totally agree. In the US, tire pressure monitoring is required on all cars made after Sept. 1, 2007 (under 10,000 lbs), and I believe that stability control will be mandated sometime in the future....yet as you said there are still brand-new cars on the road today that do not have ABS.

On topic: I hope to be the new owner of a 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL later on this year. Here's a picture I took of it earlier this month at the auto show--hopefully mine will look just like it :D:

Phiberglass, thats a beauty right there. Is the exhaust note perfect? Those exhaust pipes sorta scare me though....

Wow. What a beautiful car, Phiberglass. Thanks for those pictures. This car surely is a head turner.

I didn't think Lexus was going to release IS-F until this summer but it looks like they're out already.

Thanks guys :D

Exhaust could definitely be a little louder, but it's perfect. Hearing it above 4k RPM is amazing
