Added the hood pins myself, as the scoop is functional...
What function does the scoop serve? It looks like your intake is pulling in air from under a shroud way over near the driver side wheel well. Doesn't seem to me like the scoop would be helping anything, other than adding drag, and hurting mileage. It looks nice, don't get me wrong. But, I'm a little lost on what "function" its serving.

I need to get a carwash. Today was the hottest it's been in a few months (60º  ) and the lines at the carwashes were insane.

A little dirty, but I love 'er. She's my dream car. :)

It's an 07 WRX, and the interior still looks almost brand new even though I got it last June.

Sweet Scooby. And yes, it was SUPER NICE here today. I think I saw like eleventy-billion motorcycles driving around by my place downtown today. It was crazy. And, in typical fashion, looks like it will be back to 30s and crap later this week. But, whatever.

Yeah, that's Nebraska for ya. I'm just super excited for spring to hit for real. But we'll probably see at least 1 more blizzard before that happens.

Missouri's the same. I was so excited that it's going to be in the 70s tomorrow because I really want to wash and wax my car, then I checked the forecast and there's snow Monday and Tuesday

I originally thought about the m3 but not the RS4 or C63. Also from the reviews I have read and watch seems as though the m3 is not competing well against the IS-F, RS4, and C63. I called up a local lexus dealer to see if they had an IS-F just for kicks and they said they got one in a day ago. I checked it out and the representative said that it was for someone on the waiting list and that he would call if he dropped out. So 2 days later turns out the guy dropped out for the Smokey Granite Mica and was available. I guess I just got lucky and did not have to get on the list so I ended up getting :D

It's an awesome car. Rides amazing and steering is very tight, especially in sport mode. I would much rather have a 6 speed instead of the 8 speed transmission they put in the IS-F. I've also never owned a car with paddle shifters so I have been having tons of fun. I'm at 801 miles at the moment (break in period on manual is 621 but dealers said 1000) So I'm still holding back from completely opening it up until I get to 1000. When that 2nd intake opens around 4k RPMs the car sounds absolutely amazing :)

^^ Pictures of pretty much everything inside/out of the car.

Wow. I'm looking at getting a luxury sports car late this year or early next year and before now, it was between a 335 convert and Audi S5, but now this will be added. My only concern is that it has 4 doors and I've never owned a 4 door before.

Marvelous Classic. I looked into buying one but decided on a Disco I LSE. I'm going to get it in two weeks or so and can't wait. My entire family currently owns Rovers.

I had a Disco 1 LSE. Its a fantastic car to drive... not as great if your a passenger since you might get sea sick. Even though Rovers typically are quirky, strangely designed vehicles, I absolutely loved mine.

I'm still waiting to get my 2000 Discovery II.

Does anyone here have a Supra?

I used to own both a MKIII and MKIV Supra, but that was before I bought the Gvr4. Honestly the way I have the Galant right now is better than how I had either of the Toyotas. The Gvr4 is quite quick in a straight line (11.7 on pump) but a BEAST on the track.

Hopefully I can get some decent pics of the rally car up here.

The only "Function it is doing now is engine compartment cooling, I am getting the under hood works soon to force induction, and then it will be functional in the sense of the word.

It's functional as far as its not just for looks like the Shelby GT with the plastic insert, it actually flows air.

The under hood kit I'll be getting routes it to the cold air kit, Just have had a lot of other priorities lately, like the new computer in the sig, and the funds are lacking at the moment.

What you will also want then are some extra vents back toward the rear of the hood. Forcing air in, while it might be cooler than the air under the hood already, isn't really helping. You want to get the hot air out, not cooler air in.

Obviously its a much more expensive car, if you look at the Viper, you can see what you need to do. The scoop brings air right in to the intake. But then, back toward the rear of the hood, right above the exhaust manifolds, they have a couple vents to pull heat out. Enough air already makes its way under the hood, its the heat coming out that needs to happen. See also the Mitsubishi Evo, the Aston DBS, and M-Benz SL65, for other examples of this type of venting.

Again, I like the looks of it on your car. But, it will take some work until its REALLY functional. With modern cars, and their tightly managed fuel delivery, and very restrictive intake systems, the "benefit" of hood scoops is slim to none really. Just look how little you see them now. Or, I should say, how little you see them in a functional use. About the only one I can think of right off hand is from Subaru, like Saikou's WRX a few posts earlier. But, they are used to cool the intercooler there, not for intake use.

Well... who remembers my transmission story? (2006 Grand Prix with 36K mile warranty goes kaput at 41K miles). Well, I asked a Chevy dealer (GM) to gimmie a second opinion. Sure enough; I need a complete transmission rebuild. They want $3200. I have ZERO money, being in college, and already trying to make car/insurance/phone/loan payments each month. I tell them I'll just pay the $90 diagnostics fee, and I'll have to figure something else out...

When I go to pick up my car, I learn they tore it apart without me asking!!! So, I gave them a car that could go short distances, and $90 later, they give me a car that will not START, the security system is GONE, there is no power to the seats or windows (but the battery is connected... the radio works), the HUD is completely FUBAR'd, and I can't even enter my trunk as the keyless entry is dead.

I look at my trunk:
2212132613_c59942b427_o.jpg

This is just one of the three boxes in my trunk. Not only did they remove my transmission without my permission, they TORE IT APART!

In addition, they treated me like scum while I was dealing with them. Zero customer service skills. Very rude.

I was pissed! But... it turns out, so was my GF's dad when he heard about it... AND, he's personal friends with the state's Attorney General... He gave the GM dealer HELL from what I hear... and after a month of getting diagnostics, dealing with crappy service, and waiting for it to get fixed, I got my tranny rebuilt for FREE! :D

The dealership, while crappy in the beginning, really came through. And I'm very happy. My car seems to be running smoothly! Although, I now have a slight oil leak... so, I will likely take it back up during spring break to get it checked out. Still, though, I'm satisfied :)

Here it is as I unload stuff at my dorm:

Well considering the back seat room, It's basically a 2dr coupe with 2 extra doors slapped on haha :D
