Good taste in wheels, but 6Kg each? Which size do they have?

I've got the OZ Ultraleggera on my ride (which look pretty similar) but they weigh 8Kg a piece in 8x18.

The MINI JCW I posted recently (post #1705) has OZ Alleggerita weighing 6.3 kg in 17x7.

Do I win?

SSRs on the track car:
5.6kgs front (16x6.5)
6.1kgs rear (17x7.5)

Of course, with tires, that adds up to ~7% of the car's weight before I get in it. You guys need big heavy wheels with those big heavy cars.
:p

Ha ha. Rub it in, whydontcha?

My girlfriend has a set of Enkei RPF1 wheels for her MX5 and those things are crazy lightweight. Without tires on them they practically float away. I'd have bought a set if they made them in the right size for my car.

(yes, that's a 285/30R18 on a Miata)

Call it a MX5! ahh! you called it both names, pick one lol. I prefer the MX5 badge. It is the same car after all.

Congrats. Mine has been a daily driver since new so I've only very mildly tuned it. We didn't get the FQs so we were always somewhat jealous. The Audi has taken over daily duties so I'm contemplating what to do with the Evo. Don't think I'll ever sell it since I don't care for the X - if I want an Audi, I'll buy an Audi, not an X (see photo above).
;)

We didn't get AYC/S-AYC here so we don't have the pump, lines, insane service interval, etc. IIRC, Mitsu claimed it was so they could give us a bigger fuel tank although I suspect it was so they wouldn't have to warranty the things when we failed to service them.

Mine - shortly after I got it:

No AYC? Better for weight reduction and doesn't get in the way on a track ;)

Looks tidy, my old man just traded his IX in for a X FQ330 sst.

From my personal experience, out of the 3 SUV's you listed go for the Lexus. The other 2 will not even come close to the reliability you have with your Cherokee.

I agree, but not too worried about reliability. Parents have/had a RR and X5, both were fine. GF has a lexus, been bulletproof so far. It just depends if I can have 2 cars and a garage where we move to. I don't mind working on my vehicles, I kind of miss it. Where we are now there is no garage and people run to the condo association if they see you pop the hood of your car. Feels weird to have to go somewhere to have your oil changed, makes me feel like less of a man;).

I know a range rover would probably be the least reliable, but those earlier range rovers from 1995-2002 just look incredible to me. Timeless, like my Jeep Cherokee.

Now if I could find a Defender 90, that would be number one. But they still run around $30k.

As long as we're keeping with the high-end car theme, let me add on my little buddy. I LOVE my car. :D

Here we have a 2002 Saturn SL1, in Dark Metallic Blue. This baby came with a killer 1.9L SOHC, and rolls on sick 14" steel rims. Top speed = 103mph.

Mind-blowing? I thought so. I love it so much, I got a second one!
