Thanks for the complement. All of the (US Spec) 2002 9-3 Saabs had some level of turbo and god i love the smile they leave on your face!

Honestly I wouldn't dare lowering it. I know that i lost .5 of an inch when i replaced the shocks and so right now it's actually lower than in the picture. The front air dam has only 3 inches of clearance and bottoming out is already a problem so if i do anything it would be with the rear.

Thanks again!

That's a wicked SAAB! There was one just like it but turbo charged and in a different colour not too far away from my place. Sooo nice!

Do you have any intentions on lowering it a little? Either or looks great! Take great care of her.

This is a common misconception. Most all 9-3's have turbos but there are a few versions over the years that did not have turbos.

The B234i & B204i Saab engine was used in 1998-1999 on the initial 9-3s and was not turbocharged. Additionally the 1.8i GM Ecotec engine that Saab used from 2004-2009 in the "New Generation" 9-3s was not a turbo.

The non-turbo 9-3's are hard to find and very few were produced. It's an easy assumption to make even for most saabophiles.

For the U.S. market, all 9-3s were turbocharged petrol engines with the "full pressure turbo" (B204L, 185 hp (138 kW)) as the standard offering, and a "HOT" (B204R, 200 hp) variant in the SE models for the 1999 model year.

I was mostly right, out of the first gen 9-3's, only 1 model year (1999) had a non-turbo'd engine, but it wasn't sold in the US. Same goes for the second gen 9-3, only 1 without a turbo, no a US model (not to mention they stopped making it)

To stay on topic, here is a photo of my old Land Rover. I miss it a lot :( It's fuel pump busted right after it hit a speed bump. Not at high speed, just a really sharp speed bump and a very old and tired fuel pump...that had a run in with E85 so it's seals busted.

I hear you on the ground clearance. My Prelude is lowered a little and I've scratched the bottom of the my OEM front lip in the past but since I've painted the whole car I'm VERY cautious of where I drive. I'm in the middle of installing a lip guard.
You might want to do something similar if you are worried about scratching your bumper. It just a rubber garage door seal thingy you can mount. It gives it a nice look as well. But anyways... awesome car! I love it.

I tried to wet sand my headlights...

I'm a bit surprised that I may be the only one in here that owns the iPod nano of cars…

Let me give you 10 reasons why I think this car is so Apple-like:

1. Its name: Lower case i followed by an upper case letter. Check!
2. The color: iPod-White. Check!
3. The size: It's the smallest four passenger car in production. Check!
4. The quality: It's a Toyota. Check!
5. The price: It's expensive compared to other small cars. Especially if you only look at the specs. Check!
6. The technology: 9 airbags, EPS, ESP, EBD, ABS… you name it, it's all there. Check!
7. It just works: It's a Toyota. Check!
8. The design: Looks a lot better than other small cars. Check!
9. Attention grabber: You bet. Check!
10. Minority: It may be the best car in the world, but everyone else drives their boring station wagons. Check!

So here it is… My Toyota iQ:

The product located on the passengerseat is a homemade iDaughter.

I've enjoyed looking at this entire thread, wasn't even going to post until I saw this. Gotta love the whole concept (and your "idescription")! AND I think that is the coolest car I've seen in a long time!

Nice. Looks like we share the same initials (RPJ)! I've been hankering for a similar plate to go on my A3.

Insurance is a bummer. My insurance is insane on a 2.0TDI A3 :( (I'm 25 living in the centre of a big bad city).

It is incredible how high the premiums are, however I can understand it with the way some young lads drive.
What do you think of the new A1?

It's all those idiots in their Corsas! ;)

I saw a really terrible example a few weeks back. I was in the right lane on a dual carriageway about to turn off right. I was going pretty much dead on the speed limit. A small hatchback crammed full of young lads decided to undertake me on the top of a blind hill. Luckily, rather than hitting someone else, he went straight through the speed camera on the other side of it!

What do you think of the new A1?

I wasn't so keen where I saw the first pictures of it, but I was in the Audi garage a few weeks ago and they had one on show. I think it looks really good in the metal. Based purely on looks, I think would choose it over a Mini , but I would be tempted by the Citroen DS3 for a car of that size (or possibly the new Polo). I had a Polo before my Audi and I really liked it, but I think the A3/Golf/Focus sized car is about right for what I need - though I have the slightly longer Sportback version. Having said that, your A4 looks really smart in white, so I could be tempted to upscale for my next car!

EDIT: Here are a few pictures of mine (not sure I have posted them before).

924 and C4 VTS

The Porsche 924 ('87) was my first car for about a year.

Then I bought Citroen C4 VTS. (2006) I had it for two years, and then some maniac ran into me.

Now I don't have any:)
