Roger! Just got back from the track actually. Got a chance to really push a 1M coupe. It felt much more like the E46 M3 than the E92 M3 did. I find that the E92 M3 got a little too fat (it still beats the competition and handles like a pro, but it just feels like much more of a grand tourer than the M3's of old) and it's nice to see a BMW that retains the knife edge feel of the E46 and maybe even the E30 .

What interests me about you, is that my name is also "Spencer S" and I also like BMW's. Are we the same person?
The safety requirements are getting absurd. The 1 series should be the 3, and 3 series should be the 5, and so forth..

Ha, that's crazy! I don't believe we're the same person, but cool nonetheless. You can find my E46 if you look back a few pages in this thread. If not, here's one from last month:

^^^ A "proper" course will use less cones that what you will see in some of my posts, but instead have cones facing inside the track or pointing which direction to go around a slalom, much like what spencers posted. I wish the PCASB here would setup like his events.

Hitting a cone peeves me more than just being slow:rolleyes:

I don't think you're supposed to hit the cones :p

The cones that are "knocked down" are called pointer cones. They are set up in that way to tell you to go around the cone that is standing up, or are pointing in the direction that you are to proceed.

sick z33 is that a firebird or trans am. I have owned several pontiacs. even a trans am with a fuel injected 350 bored over to a 400. I always like the look of them but after actually owning a few pontiacs i dont ever see myself buying another one just from issues that pretty much all of them had. have you had any issues with it?

Its a Trans Am with WS6 package. I have not had any issues with it, The LS1 is a great motor to build on.
Currently has exhaust and cam. Running stock heads and intake. Dyno numbers are at 449hp/409tq.

Thankfully I missed the worst of the snow, but it wasn't too bad in it.

WOW!!! The 2002!!! This brings back memories!! My father used to own this back in the 70s! Oh and I learned how to drive on it... :p

Just AWESOME!

That's a thing of beauty. I'd take that over any of the new muscle cars! Always loved that body style. Seen one of 'em the other day, in fact. Not as nice as yours, though.

Thanks! Yep this car I plan to keep for a VERY long time. Since 1993 (redesign) when I was 8 years old, I dreamed of having a Trans Am one day. Now I have the last year they were built (2002). I am not a fan of the new Camaro, however the new 5.0 Mustangs are very impressive. ;)

Nice car, man. I've always liked Trans Ams, because my Uncle had a GTA when I was growing up. Got any vids of the sound she makes? Maybe an acceleration run? :p

Some lovely motors on here chaps. Here is my new comforter: First car I have had with cruise control and an electronic parking break. I must admit I do like features in cars that automate as much of the process of motorway munching.

I must say the 2010 Chevy/Opel/Vauxhall Astra is a very nice looking car. Congratulations!
