The orange peel paint is a known issue. Either BMW USA is full of ****, or they've never seen orange peel before. My ex-gf's father's -11 BMW 750 was resprayed by BMW last summer. They're where sufficiently ass-kissing about it, but i believe that might've had something to do with the fact that the car has military plates...

Also, from what i know, its a recent issue. Mainly -08 and newer.

No, I definitely know what orange peel looks like. I've worked in the automotive industry and seen many bad paint jobs. But I haven't seen any bad factory paint jobs on BMW's - and really, come to think of it, most newer cars (especially the more expensive imports) have very decent quality finishes on them because of the improvements in technology over the years.

I'm pretty OCD anal about things like that, so I am definitely someone who notices those flaws.

Here's something you don't see every day. An NSX on a ferry crossing the Mississippi River.

I finished my Lower Mississippi River Tour with that crossing. Since Friday morning, I have crossed all 15 bridges plus 2 ferries of the lower Mississippi, driving a bit over 1,000 miles in that time. What a great way to waste 4 days!

That is a really nice Supra! I love those cars.

Here is my 135i, I took these after washing it, but just before I installed the carbon fiber rear spoiler. I want to take pictures sometime this week with everything done. But this will do for now, taken with my iPhone 4S, edited with Camera+, put together with Diptic.

Ughh I want a 1 series.

Temporary Canadian ride (the M5 is in Hong Kong).

2012 S4 premium (= US 'Prestige') in glacier white & black nappa interior. Lightly modified, just a Stasis tune and exhaust.

Going to try to get a picture of its bottom in the next few days when it's sunny out.

Yeah, I was told that by my friend, who owns an E39 M5. Maybe I'll fix it one of these days. :)

Just debadge it! Looks a lot cleaner that way ;)

What do you do and how do you do it.

I work hard and don't waste money on unnecessary things. That allows me to splurge on hobbies :)

I'd love to have this as a 'temporary' ride :)

Hahah. It was either this, or keep the rented Volvo S60 for a whole year while I wait for my custom ordered car to arrive around early to mid-2013.
