^^ Nice I love those older Civics (06-2011). Not sure if I'd put those rims on myself, but the actual car, I love them.

My 2007 Mustang. Took these the day after i picked it up (8/2/11). The windows have been tinted since then.

Any advice on what to get for my next car?

Options include (but are not limited to):

Infiniti G37S coupe
BMW 335iS coupe
Chevy Camaro RS or ZL1

any thoughts?

I love the G37S. I have a G20 myself though, so I am biased. However, I have driven one, and they are awesome.

If you can afford it the BMW, as long as you can afford it to fix it if it breaks, that can cost more than the car.

Dad's going to buy you a ZL1? Please don't disgrace the nameplate, you wouldn't know what to do with 580 hp. I definitely know you couldn't appreciate such a special, limited production, niche car.

@GuitarG20: I had the G37S sedan as my first car (lease). I couldn't have a car my first year of college, so the lease ended and we gave it back. I absolutely LOVED the G, and I also know how to drive it.

Just thinking of trying something new with the Bimmer (its definitely a step up in my opinion, (and its also more expensive)).

And with the camaro that would just be a huge change... but for a college kid, it might just be the best car. I need to test drive it though; I don't want to kill myself, especially in a ZL1, and I would have to get used to the sports-car drive feel (coming for a smoother driving car like the Infiniti) along with the bare minimum in terms of luxury aspects in the car.

Thanks for the input also @Bennybear, @wordoflife. EDIT: and @puma1552. (you are probably right... the car is crazy powerful and thats why I would need to test drive it and see if its really something for me or not). If I go with a camaro my parents probably won't let me get the ZL1 anyways... I'd probably end up with a loaded RS.

You're dreaming if you think ANY dealer is going to let you test drive a ZL1. Certain cars with which the dealer has VERY few (if any) allocations for often do not see a single mile of wheel time from anyone until the car has been paid for in full. Especially with a muscle car like a ZL1, a GT500, or a 392 Hemi. The owners know that people test driving these cars are beating the snot out of them on the test drive, and are not willing to hand over $50k for a car they know has been driven hard as soon as it was born. Hence, these types of cars never get test driven.

The G was a lease and you gave it back? That's odd, I've seen you say on several occasions that the car was totalled:

The 'family' car, which I drive mainly since my G sedan was totaled; Mercedes GL450 SUV

My first car was an '09 G37S sedan. Had a lot of fun in that car. Sadly, 2 weeks before I left for college it got totaled. Someone in a stang ran a red light while I was in a turning lane and hit me head on (We won insurance, and it wasn't my fault at all).

Most likely getting a new G37S coupe (maybe IPL) or the BMW 335iS coupe this coming summer. Will post that up when I get it!

Well really, a Honda Civic would be the best car for a college kid :p

If you don't mind me asking though, but why are you spending so much for a car right now? All of those cars you've listed are very expensive (well, to some of us) cars for college. I figured that you might rather use that money for tuition or just save it for something else ... idk. But I suppose all of our priorities are different, right?

But besides that, some other nice cars that come to mind is the Audi A4, Acura TSX, and Volvo S60. Not sure if they are your "taste" though.

My tuition is all paid for, and this will most likely be my last car from my parents, so they want to get me something nice. Or it will be a lease for 3 years of college and I'll get another car in the same range after I graduate and being business school.

And yes, the G was totaled, but I honestly didn't want to go through that whole explanation again. It wasn't my fault regardless, just annoying to have to explain the whole thing again... not like it makes a difference in this case at all.

I test drove the BMW, which is more expensive than the ZL1, plus the 335iS is also a limited edition car for BMW. And if I can't test the ZL1, then I'll just test drive the SS/RS.

My tuition is all paid for

I just looked at the prices of these cars and my reactions was .
Do you really need a $60,000+ car for college regardless of the status of your tuition?

In my opinion you're wasting money that you could use for your future.

Dad's paying for it. Didn't you know? He lives in a very wealthy part of LA and his dad is an executive who works with famous people. He always makes it a point to tell us all about these things.

$60k car? No biggie, those $40k cars just don't cut it anymore.

With all those resources, I'm sure he's fully aware of what he wants. Not sure why has a hard time deciding.

So instead of blowing your money on a lease, why don't you just buy a car?

This is a picture thread; no need to complain about someone getting a car from their parents.

That being said, this is also not a thread to ask for advice on what car to buy.

Quick grab out in the garage as long as the car is clean. It will celebrate its 10th birthday on May 5th - it went to production status 155 on that date in 2002. I'll put a little more effort into taking a new photo of it then.

This is my 2003 BMW 525i. It's an automatic with 84,000 miles. Fully loaded except for navigation. It's got the heated seats, leather, etc. The color is known as Oxford Green Metallic. This is also my first car. I don't know many people whose first car was a BMW... xD
