Ah ok. My oil pump nut is tacked on. I still find 3rd gear hard to hit just like the TSB. Still maddening to happen.

My shop will be doing the same thing to the oil pump in the new engine, along with installing an oil pan baffle. The new engine (used - 97k miles with a 12 month warranty) is supposed to be delivered to the shop tomorrow and I should be back on the road in a week. We'll be doing new motor mounts (M3), tranny mounts (Rogue), replacing the tranny bushes per the TSB, and probably installing a new clutch/thrust bearing as long as we're in there. The current clutch is fine, but the car has 120k miles on it.

Friend of ours is self learning photography, she likes shooting cars so she asked if she could shoot the vette one day... Well it poured that day, I would be banned from corvetteforum if they saw these pictures.. lol

This one was from my iPhone.. we got to this cool spot and she realized she forgot to bring an SD card... lol.. Ended up going back home and she took a few pics in our cul de sac which are below.

Will a Corvette melt in the rain? I don't understand why it can't be out in the rain. It's a car. They design these things so that you can drive them every day. It won't break if you get caught out in the rain. For as much as one costs, it better be able to drive in the rain.

It was a jab at corvetteforum... They all believe it will melt. I drive mine every day.

We have some of the same type on the NSX forum. They have cars that average less than 1000 miles a year and have never seen rain. Hell, there are a couple that have never been washed because they've never been dirty.

Personally, I think that's abuse of fine machinery, but it's their car so whatever. I don't have the time or space for toys I can't play with.

It's more of a status symbol than to use it for personal entertainment with those types. They probably have never driven it like it's supposed to be driven. It's a shame really IMO. I like to keep my car spotless but I also push it every once in a while. Take it out to twisty back roads with little to no traffic and let her breath.

Hopefully without being too vulgar, I would make the analogy of having a super-fine girlfriend that you rarely touch. What are you doing, saving her for the next guy? Live it up.

Day 1 vs today. Still a work in progress...but she's coming along. Future plans include window tint, front and rear lips, blacked out headlight housings, and a zzp turbo kit.

No offense, but that Cobalt looks so much better on day 1. I like the black wheels, but everything else can go.

Aww, c'mon, the SS's are knows for the big spoilers on the back. At least that is what I always see on them, and sometimes hundreds of stickers because each one is +5hp, everybody knows that!

Haha. Stickers are a love/hate. that I can understand if people don't like, and thats cool with me.

But like you said, the wing was what always attracted me to the SS. Always loved that and the side skirts giving it a less 4WD look. haha.

IMHO everybody has a different taste in cars, so do whatever the heck you want and everyone else can suck it up.
