Already had the low. Not sure I want the headache of it again. Roads here, not so good. Lots of potholes, speedbumps, bad entrances to parking lots etc.

Needs more low ;-) Wheel gap kills. I don't see why car companies continue with huge gaps that are 2-4 inches larger in diameter than the wheels, yet also have the wheel arch so low that lowering the car still gives a poor high ride height. Arches should be as high as possible on sports cars, akin to old British sports cars so that it can be properly slammed in case of its designed track day time.

No more low for me. My previous ride. I got tired of going over speed bumps at an angle. Putting the car up on ramps? Forget about it. I never felt safe working under car with jack stands. It was a really nice car and looked good with it's low stance but I don't miss doing all the extra work driving it around town avoiding bumpy roads, speedbumps and small road debri.

It was more a rant towards manufacturers giving the wheel arch 3-4 inches of clearance all around the wheel, necessitating ridiculously large wheels to fill it out, but once filled, the car would be silly high as well.

Your previous ride still has a large amount of wheel gap, but would require much taller tires to fill it, as you can't go much lower for the street.

Its really hard to believe that the pictures uploaded are really owned and not taken from net. Whatever I dont own such a lavish car even if i upload the pic of my Car i think the forum will only deletre it entioning the reason that it is not fit for the page.

Some are you just have to filter them out as best as possible. But you also have to keep in mind we do have some pretty good photogs here so some that look like they're downloaded are not.

We welcome everyone's cars on here, so please feel free to post your car. Sure some posts may seem sketchy, but that's something that comes with all forums. I wouldn't believe everything you see on the internet. It's up to you to decide what is legit and what isn't.

Not a photographer, and the car really is mine. Here I am on the highway, at 80mph, with my bike on the car with my old wheels. Friends son shot this with his cellphone, and it turned out really well. Looks like I am parked.

We should take that as a compliment.

Just looked at some of your photos. Very nice, especially the zoo shots. Downloaded one of the green snake, going to resize it for my wallpaper on my Galaxy S3. Thanks!

I went to an HPDE yesterday at Thunderhill with Hooked on Driving. They put on a great event, I had a lot of fun, and Thunderhill is a fun and challenging track. On the bright side, my instructor cleared me to drive solo for the last session of the day and recommended I be moved up to B group next time. On the not so bright side, the car developed oil problems towards the end of my second lap of the last session and got a 100 mile tow to a shop in Rancho Cordova where it will be looked at tomorrow. I sure hope no major damage was done, but we'll see...

edit: I had a missed shift in my second to last session (due to a manufacturing defect with this tranny covered by a TSB that expired before the problem became apparent in my car) that caused my oil pump to fail in the last session. It's new motor time. My car is worthless in its current condition, but otherwise is probably the cleanest 2002 330Ci around, so I think it makes sense to spend the money and install a new (used) motor. So it was a very expensive day at the track. We'll be taking care of a lot of maintenance items while the engine and tranny are out of the car.

Here's my current car, a 2003 Mk4 Golf:

...but my real love was the car I had to sell as myself and my partner were starting to save for a mortgage deposit. Gone 4 years now but I loved the little car. A Volvo 480 Turbo (European Volvo market). 1.7 Turbo, but I'd had it remapped (so running approx 170hp, 340/lb ft torque): it went like a mad thing!

It's what the C30 was based on, glass hatch and 2 single rear seats... Cracking little car!

On one of my Macs of course
I'm currently driving a 2008 Lexus RX 350 (the first picture, taken in my front yard just after we bought it), but will be purchasing a 2014 Mercedes ML 350 in December (we may not buy a silver one - I really like the dark blue myself).

I just can't take the new center console of the RX - maybe I'm a bit OCD, but it went from a beautiful symmetrical design to something I just can't view on a daily basis - it's all discombobulated (I'm from the South, so yes, that is a word :D). Plus, I've wanted a Mercedes since I was around eight years old and now I can afford to buy one, so ... It also helps that my wife really likes the ML as well. :D

Pick up an S54 and toss it in ;-)

Sorry to hear. Are you an auto and it miss shifted?? Or just a miss shift and over rev? Just odd the oil pump failed due to a shift vs a overrevving the engine.

I'll be sticking with the M54.

It was an overrev, which caused the nut holding the oil pump pulley to loosen and this eventually failed a few laps (and one session) later. I thought I had dodged a bullet somehow when the mis-shift happened, but I guess not.

Oh shoot! What's the TSB? Does it affect all m54's or just m54b30?

I have attached a copy of the TSB. It affects any car manufactured prior to January 2003 that uses certain transmissions. In the case of my car, the defect made it difficult to find the 3rd gear shift gate.
