It's something :)

No they are not required i think, not sure if even legal.. Some people got the US version for their VW Golf IV and got in trouble. But not sure if a Corvette bought in Europe would still have them, i think so because they get imported an in this case you can have them since oem

They are not required outside of the US (and Canada, I think). In the EU, usually the part is still there, but only as a reflector. The bulb is either taken out or disabled.

Secondary markets such as Latin America usually see them still as they get a mix of EU/US spec cars, but the rear one, if separate from the tail light, is usually made yellow as well (Fiat 500 is a good example of this).

It's not so much a hassle to US automakers as it is to foreign ones, who have to figure out where to put the egg yolk in their cars. Frankly, I don't know why this is still a requirement.

I took advantage of the break in the winter weather and washed it.

My 2016 Chevy Volt. I love this thing! I've never driven a more energy-effecient vehicle. The 53+ mile charge gets me back and forth to work 4 days in a row before I have to charge again. (My old 2013 Ford C-Max Energi only got me there and back 1 day with five miles to spare per charge.)

I've still got a full tank of gas since the day I bought it almost 3 months ago. I doubt I'll use an entire tank of gas all year.

The 8" touchscreen is a a nice.... er... touch. And its own built in wifi network (at&t) is freaking handy.

Got my green stickers not long ago, now I'm good to go for the carpool lane.

Hah! A C30! Rare little beast.

My Cadillac ATS Premium, 3.6L AWD, just picked it up a couple nights ago.
Nice. I drove an 2.0t ATS last summer. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. It handled better than a 3-series. The interior while not the best in its class is light years ahead of what GM was putting out not too long ago. Enjoy the 3.6!

Picked up this 2016 Cruze Limited 1LT yesterday as a third vehicle/my winter beater. GM was offering a $2500 Incentive to current Volt owners on certain 2016's. With that incentive we were able to lease the Cruze for 24 months, 10,000 miles a year, $0 out of pocket and first month payment waived, $49/month. That's a silly deal and we couldn't pass it up.
I hear about that deal. That deal is remarkable. <$1000 a year with 10k miles... might as well take 2 just to be safe.

Love it. We have a 2013 and can't wait to drive the new gen.
I'm astounded at how bad the resale on the volts are. Your Vette is gorgeous BTW.
[doublepost=1454655107][/doublepost]My 2009 535i xDrive, back in January. It could seriously use a car wash right now.

Sadly, in the near future she will likely be traded in for a new Grand Cherokee diesel or V8, X3 diesel, Touareg TDI, maybe a new 5-series... I don't know. I'm not good at making big decisions.

yeah our lease total is $1127 for 2 years lol.

Thanks for the compliment on the Corvette :)

We bought our 13 Volt last March with 26,000 miles for $18k. The window sticker was in the glovebox for $44k. Thankfully the new ones are cheaper.

Tell me more :) Year, trim, reliable so far?
From the LED DRL and wheels, looks like a 2012+ MK6 4DR Autobahn to me :)

Sweet car, still miss my 2011 2DR in CSG which I traded in for our current 2015 4Runner. When VW decides to make a decision on their plans for the diesel (wife's 2013 Jetta TDI), we will most likely trade in for another GTI or possible Golf R.

Thanks! My last car was a 3.6 so I didn't even bother looking for a 2.0T, just went straight for the high-end. The handling is phenomenal, totally get why people say it drives like it's on rails. I agree about the interior - coming from a second generation CTS the interior is definitely a step up.

Those are some awesome figures. I've considered going electric since I have such a short commute. I'd be interested in how much your electricity bill has changed, considering petrol is so cheap right now ($1.35/gal unleaded 87 locally).

I've always been curious to ask owners of the Volt, how much does charging the car impact your electric bill? How much of an increase does it make compared to before you had the car?

My 2004 BMW 330ci. Purchased with 153K last year; now at 185K... The car is named "Valerie" because the voice in the nav sounds like a girl I once knew, named Valerie.

Most kids my age (19) would've added cheap Chinese crap to it, but I instead elected to spend my money on maintenance.
This includes, off the top of my head, a completely refreshed cooling system, transmission fluid change, new suspension including Bilstein B4s, Michelin Pilot AS/3s, new valve cover gaskets and a Vanos rebuild from Besian Systems. All OEM; from the factory it came with adaptive xenons, the Sport, Cold Weather, and Premium packages, as well as the Style 71 18" wheels currently on the car. I've retrofitted the BMW MK4 nav system, OEM Bluetooth with voice control, and brushed aluminum trim. Five speed Steptronic. More connected to the road than an F30, and arguably better built than an E36. Photo was taken on my old 5s.

I'll never sell this car.

Do it! Just realise you can't use it to do anything in a hurry because it seems everyone wants to stop and talk to you about it.
Maybe one day. Did you build it yourself?

Does it have a radio and everything?
