That blue is amazing.... Still holding out for graphene battery in electric cars. I'd expect ranges around 1500-1600 miles between recharge. So close, but still about 5-10 years away, I imagine.

After ~300 miles, seems like the law of diminishing returns steps in. I cannot go 1500 miles without a bathroom break, you? ;)

2020 Tesla Model 3 Performance. I've only had it a couple of months, but it has been a great experience so far.

I can't figure out where the gas gauge is in them!

I can't either, but I know what he means. The more time I spend forgetting about refueling, the better off I am. I couldn't imagine having to be obligated to plugging in my car in all weather conditions including really cold or rain.

Hey, what about wireless charging... That would be cool for electric cars. Literally park it and get to work, the wireless charger will do the rest.

Eh, it’s really no big deal. Imagine you had your own private gas pump in your garage, that didn’t stink, wasn’t a safety hazard, never ran out, and cost about $0.30/gal. Who wouldn’t want that? I literally charge my car once a week, usually overnight on Saturday.

Our bathroom breaks are 5 minutes, 10 tops, and don't require coordinating with a charging location, i.e., they're purely bladder driven :p

Used to be a long haul truck driver: 1500 miles is just a warm up (kidding, books force you stop around 500miles). I typically do between 500 - 1000 miles daily in my four wheeler when vacation traveling. While 300 is perfect for 99% of driving, the graphene will reduce 80% top off to a couple of minutes ( faster than a gas fill up ). I'm enjoying the last of my gas guzzlers, so no hurry.

We had a Jeep Cherokee at home. It was a very good car. In Belgium they put a tank of gas in the cars to ride more cheaply.

Nice Wrangler, the tires are not for road usage.

They're fine on the road..not to loud and ride fairly decently

Since I swap wheels and tires like most do socks when it comes time to replace them I'll go back to a 17" with a little less sidewall and a bit narrower for autobahn usage.

My Tesla Model 3. The car is great but the ownership experience has been abhorrent. Tesla is unresponsive to calls and emails and trying to get a hold of anything for service or support is close to impossible. I leased my Model 3 and have about two years left on it...as it stands now, Tesla has done nothing to keep my business. I'm planning on going back to something German come time to turn it in unless Tesla makes some drastic changes.

Curious as to what you have reached out to them about specifically? Wife is looking to get the Model 3 AWD version.

My MCU (the main computer that powers the car) is defective and crashes on entry about 85% of the time. I have to sit and wait about 5 minutes before I can actually drive for the system to restart. I've called them about this and after an hour long wait to get someone on the phone they walked me through the basic steps to simply force restart the computer...which I had told them I tried a hundred times already. But they insisted and said to call back if the issue occurred again. It did the next day.

I tried making a mobile service appointment. Their service team was in spotty contact with me for over a month via text, usually getting one or two texts out of them a day before having to wait until the next day for another text. They finally escalated my issue to a senior engineer and was then told I must take my car in, that mobile service could not diagnose the issue nor could they remotely any further. They "pushed" several backend updates to my car which did nothing.

The nearest service center is 1.5 hours away from me. Tesla discontinued their valet service so they would not come pick my car up. When I asked if there would be a loaner waiting for me when I arrived to the service center they said they could not confirm that and that if there wasn't, they would offer me Uber credits.

I come to Tesla from 3 Cadillacs and an Audi. I am used to a luxury vehicle and luxury service experience. My Audi dealer was an hour away and offered valet service for a simple oil change. Then I get to Tesla and I'm told I can't even confirm a loaner Tesla if I drive 1.5 hours away to get to a service center.

I understand the company is growing, but they are so focused in to building inventory that their service and support areas are abysmal. It took months to even get a registration from them and my temporary tags expired in that time. I couldn't even get renewed temporary tags without filing a complaint with the attorney general in my state since I had already had one because they took so long.

Their cars are great, but if you're looking for a higher end service/support experience to compliment your $50,000+ vehicle, Tesla is not for you.
