Sold my Golf R last year as we bought our first home. The Golf R was a fantastic car and I was sad to see it go, but I had to prioritise differently.

2020 and I’m back! This time in a BMW Z4 3.0si. My 5th car and the best one yet. ?

Wife wanted something bigger so she was looking at compact SUVs and really liked the new Kia Seltos.

Buuuuuuut she walked into the dealer and fell in love with this.
What an amazing vehicle

Not exciting for most, but this car is fantastic.

Panoramic windscreen, glass roof, massaging front seats, and all the usual other toys. Very well thought out family car, loads of great touches. And it gets 74mpg (officially at least). Best I’ve managed is about 63mpg on a long journey.

My Tesla Model 3, long range AWD. The car is great but the ownership experience has been abhorrent. Tesla is unresponsive to calls and emails and trying to get a hold of anything for service or support is close to impossible. I leased my Model 3 and have about two years left on it...as it stands now, Tesla has done nothing to keep my business. I'm planning on going back to something German come time to turn it in unless Tesla makes some drastic changes.
But how does the driving experience compare to the German automakers?

From an actual end user experience standpoint, there is little I would be willing to trade AutoPilot for. It makes my 70 mile round trip commute to work and back every day effortless.

From a driving feel standpoint, it leaves much to be desired. The interior is relatively quiet at low speeds but you find yourself shouting to talk to passengers in the back seat at highway speeds. According to my Apple Watch, sound level is around 70-75 dB at highway speeds with no music playing. Lots of road noise. Some say that it’s because there’s no engine noise so you hear more of the road noise but you could hear a pin drop in my Audi A4.

Handling-wise, there’s some body roll on corners even with steering set to “sport” and it’s a heavy car so you’re going to get that, but it’s not terrible either.

Interesting, I didn't know Teslas are noisy at highway speed. Audi offers sound-insulating glass and I agree that they are very quiet at high speed. Does Tesla have something comparable?

Possibly on the Model S or X but those also start at $90,000. Don't get me wrong, the road noise doesn't really have any affect on me 90% of the time, as it's usually just me in the car and I've got my music on anyways, but when the music is down and you have passengers in the car, yeah, the road noise can be a little more than you'd expect in a $50,000 car.

I accidentally posted in the 2019 thread and deleted it. Sorry!

I'm a Honda fan. Started with a 1999 Accord that I quit driving at 215,000 miles when it needed too many repairs. Then got a 2008 Accord that got rear ended 6 months after buying. Replaced it with the 2014 Accord in the pictures. Still driving it and have owned it for three years now and have one had to replace the starter. In May, I bought a new 2019 CRV. I have barely driven it in the past two months because I work every day so it's only bee driven to the bank and store. It now has 300 miles on it. Here are both of my current Hondas.
