That is a very fancy lawnmower! WOW! It looks like it even has a lift kit on it. My parents got a new mower this summer, but they had to take the Craftsman route or it would have broke their budget!

Well, thats not a pic of mine. I'll have to take a pic for you.

No lift kit. That one just has knobby tires on it. Also they are 4WD. DON'T buy a craftsmen (or crapsmen as I call them). They'll last probably a couple years before everything starts falling apart on them. Also, those Home Depot knock-off John Deere tractors are junk. They're like entirely made of plastic. And I'm sure that $1999 craftsmen tractor has 25hp. My tractor was... significantly more than that. Then again mine also has other features but still....

Now I'm starting to sound like a country bumpkin/hick with all this tractor talk. See, I have all me teeth :D and I'm not wearing overalls. (I think 35% of people in the poor south/west think losing teeth is a family trait, like loosing hair -I think was said in time magazine)

Go for the xc90. The freestyle honestly looks like a car based SUV project gone bad. That and a very very tall station wagon.

Man, I love that car! I'm a Holden man myself but the Territory is seriously awesome. BTW, I don't think the Americans are getting it any time soon unless FoMoCo changes their opinions of Australian exports. :(

--------

I still cannot for the life of me understand why people feel the need for Large 4Wd's with Bullbars in Australian suburban areas. I understand if you live in the bush or going to the snow every year. But for those who don't WHY? It's not like you are going to hit a Kangaroo while driving down ANZAC parade.

As for the Territory? Jacked up Falcon Wagon refined to suit 'aspirationals' who like the idea of sitting above everyone. Ford also feel that 7 seats is a selling point. How many Territory buyers are 5 kids? Also considering that the territory is not a serious off road 4WD and even sells in RWD form what is the point? They make even less sense today with increased fuel prices.

Still you have to give Ford Australia credit for doing their demographics homework. Blah blah battle with nature status/hight...good looking...etc etc

I only have 300 miles on it. I had to go to Iraq for a year and I got back in March and decided to trade off my old fashioned 2 stroke Arctic Cat snowmobile on this new 4 stroke Yamaha because I was tired of the smoke, injection oil, noise, and very poor fuel economy. The thing has massive amounts of torque and is fun to ride. The only disadvantage to the 4 stroke is it tends to be a heavier machine then the 2 stroke. It is not a lightweight racer like yours, but is actually not as heavy as you would think, about 545 lbs. dry.

is it easy enough to throw around in the deeper snow? thats one of my favorite parts about mine is i can get it unstuck easy and can flip it up on one ski at will :)

asqy, I completely agree with you in that there is a time and a place for crossovers. I don't generally drive, I usually ride and I can tell you first hand that SUVs are the new Volvos - incredibly safe albeit only for the driver. Having said that, Australia is a big country and there are some pretty shoddy excuses for roads around here.

Sure, a Territory is no LandCruiser, but not everyone needs such a competent albeit cumbersome 4WD and the Territory offers a pretty good compromise between something that'll get slightly off road but won't churn through massive amounts of petrol and take up a massive road footprint compared with the Toyota. Kudos to Ford for making such a car IMO.

Nevertheless, I recognise that far too many Territory buyers are going for the high driving position and intimidating road presence of an SUV which are not good enough reasons. These things are heavy and dangerous and measures should be taken to keep them controlled in cities. Whether that is through licensing, taxing, or something else, that's a totally different topic. :)

no, trust me ,on the website of volvo tank stats it says that the 740 GLE was given, at first a 4-cylinder engine, then, in 1987, it was given a new engine, which has 16-cylinders.

Jesus

There's no way. Got a link to that website?

According to a book I have, the only Turbo 4 Cylinder that the 740 got was a 2.3 Liter with 157-162hp.

Here is my 2005 Explorer XLT Sport 4x4 V6. I am lucky it is an FFV vehicle because I am still getting E85 fuel for a decent price. It's MSRP was $34,000 and I bought it for $25,000 with the employee discount. I guess the only real cool things about it is the 300watt CD6/MP3/Sirus stereo and the AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control that Ford pulled from the Volvo XC90. Over all I am pretty happy with it, the V6 is fairly economical for a midsized 4x4.

where do you live in South Dakota?

Here's mine. I just love it.

I had this photo printed at 20" x 30" to make it into a poster for my room. i had the poster titled "QuickSilver", and signed by my friend.

what do ya think? Its my loveable jeep :)

If you removed all the stickers what would the vehicles structural integrity be like, also how many more MPG/MPH would you get and another thing how much more easier would it be to reverse park it. :p

Just the same though I'd love to know how the hell you reverse park a car with all the rear windows obscured, he/she must choose large parking spaces or just doesn't give a damn.

Thanks!

I think that the second photo is his favorite too. He liked it so much he is going to use it in his portfolio. I also admired it alot, so i decided to get it printed as a 20"x30" poster; i printed two and gave one to him for helping me.
