Heres my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX,
You must not get around enough.i've never liked the kind of asian "racer" cars like the honda prelude, some civics etc. however, i've grown to like those Subarus. They seem to have a little more... class. Nice car.
You must not get around enough.More than just a handful of scoobie drivers are obnoxious as are their cars. (No offense Iamtherealwoody.) Plus, something about the AWD seems to say to quite a few of the younger drivers that they can be just like Initial D on the mountain highways 'round here. Definitely known quite a few folks personally who've crashed their Imprezas doing just that.
Ah, that specific car? Yes, I'd agree that Iamtherealwoody was smart in keeping it quite clean. Me likey. (But I still think it's ricey-looking. Even totally stock.)just sayin' i like the way THAT one looked. on a whole, i don't like the people who drive those kinds of cars either.

Thanks for the comments. And yes its all stock, I would smack my self, (as would my girlfriend) if my car looked like it was from "Fast and the Furious". I dont see subarus as boy racer cars although there are quite a few boy racers who drive around Miami with them. I ignore them, and all the Neon SRT-4's.
By the way WRX's are boxer engines, like porche, and they have a very distinct sound that sounds nothing like a ricer.

And I prefer an efficient four cylinder turbo to a guzzling V10 or V8, plus the AWD is the best thing in the world when it rains/snows. You have no idea what traction is until you drive an AWD car. The WRX STi goes 0-60 in less than 5 seconds too.
That exhaust sounds vile. And thats an after market exhaust so I don't think thats a very "distinct" original sound. I find it rather loud and annoying.

Im averaging 50/50 Highway City at 25 mpg. I think that pretty damn good for a 227hp car that does 0-60 in 5.9 sec and 1/4 mile in 14.3
Here's my baby:
Eh, nothing special.![]()

Ford should so sell that in the UK. I'd buy it.
Now that I have that out of the way, are you planning on doing anything to it? I think I can hear Vishnu calling your name!![]()
Im a poor college student, I have about a year and a half left at University of Florida for Electrical Engineering. I can totally see me ditchin the WRX in the future for, say a Tesla Roadster.
I know it's contradictory, but Im passionate about electric cars and environmental issues, hence my major and career path. Unluckily, my car is not worth very much $ (it has 62k miles, but a new engine, loooong story) so i can't sell it and get a more efficient, equally nice car.
Please don't sell your WRX for a Prius. They are the epitome of uncool![]()
there are a lot of diesels that are MUCH cooler and actually get better milage.THats one thing I dont really get. Cause you can get a diesel that gets nearly the same MPG and is much faster/cooler. Ill take an audi/mercedes/MINI/Subaru Flat 4 diesel over a prius anyday.
A pic of Supercompu2, Plymouthbreezer, and me.
Plymouthbreezer is going to make a thread about our trip. Basically Supercompu2 and Plymouthbreezer are friends and live in the the same city. My dad works in the city they live in and I was going to be there, and they suggest I meet up with them.
