So sad to see cars getting huge front and rears, and the trunk and hoods seem to be 1 ft+ above the wheel wells. Ugly IMO. Bring back low slung cars like the older Jags...

I'll buy used before getting something bloated like above. (though I prefer to buy used anyway....)So sad that cars in that price range are STILL only 200ish HP.... Though to be honest, I hate when people speed in a non-sports car....

The high hood has to do with new European pedestrian laws since the new Malibu is a global car.

You're not going to see NA 4 bangers produce high power anytime soon with the focus on fuel economy now.

Damn I wish we could go back to making sexy cars in the avg family price range again.... I really don't wan't these "safe" pedestrian cars, with headlights that have to be a min height, among other silly additions. I am just so glad that vintage cars are still allowed on the road according to our laws. Though, I do wonder what the actual laws are, because say a Cayman or Corvette has a much lower front, yet is still allowed in Europe, as well as in the states. The going to the S2000s as well, which has a classicly low hoodline.

Anyway, post away of cars you like. Just wanted to state what I dislike about modern cars. Go ahead and buy the Malibu, I just wish I didn't have to at them while on he road:eek: Then again, most think my E30 is ugly, which is perfectly fine for others to think. (though I wish the hoodline was even lower...)

Another car I want to own as I love the fit in the cockpit for my 6' 3" height:
Chevrolet-Corvette_C4_1983_800x600_wallpaper_01.jpg

and it fits my criteria of "sexy for its generation" ;-)

I got a chance to shoot a BMW Z4. I'm having a hard time editing the photos as the black just looks "crushed"? I'm not sure how to explain what I'm trying to say but I critique my photos a lot so basically I think this photo sucks but the owner thinks its good.

What do you guys think?

Just took this photo of my GFs brand new 2011 Honda Fit. Used the screen and LED flash(light) on my Nexus One.

I get what you're saying. Deep, dark black, with no metallic flake in it is probably very hard to photograph well. It masks a lot of the subtle lines of the car (which a Z4 has a lot of) that would normally show with lighter, more reflective colors. I like the shot, but I do see what you are bugged with.

Yea! That's exactly it! Here's another shot of the Z4. I like this one a bit better but something is still off about it to me.

I tried stamping that pole out thats in front of the car but after comparing the photos it didn't look right to me. So I just left it. Screw it. I also tried that radial gradient tool to get that kind of sun flare effect. I don't think I'm doing it right.

^^^Would love an '06+ Z4, or better yet an '09+ for the retractable hardtop so I could get away with it year round.

What I'd also love, would be an A5:

Expensive for a 2.0T, though. Used prices are quite high too due to the exclusivity.

^^^ Seriously? However, Datsun did specifically model it with an American muscle flair, but properly done as they are small and lightweight.

Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_S30

The 240z was made from 70-73. At 2300lbs, and 350 small block really is a drop in, with 300+hp its DAMN fun. I drove one not to long ago that was estimated at 450hp, which really was just nutty scary. Still, with a healthy stock motor, they are much fun.

Stock they still look great, but not as tits when the front and rear racing bits are on:

Those Datsun are so awesome! I love when people mod them tastefully. They look great especially with a wicked motor in it.

I went to a some what small car show today. It wasn't that great but there was free BBQ!! :p

I, of course snapped some photos. Some of them are not so great as the lightly was horrible and my ISO was set to 100 as I hate noise but I tried my best without a tripod. So please bare with me..

My realistic daily driver with a unrealistic engine swap.

A4 Avant Ultrasport with a 1.8T 6speed Manual. Then TDI swap.

The TDI would bolt up to everything from the 1.8T A4, but I have no idea how, if at all, the ECU from the TDI would talk to the cluster and the rest of the car. The long 6speed gearing would be like a "sporty" TDI gear. About 2200 RPM at 100KM/h, not horrible, just a tad above my friends TDI Jetta.

Saw one of these parked up down my road earlier, in my opinion it's the best car on the market today. Amazing looking, so comfortable, and very very fast when they need to be.

First, can you [/i] your pic? It is a little huge.

Second, I like everything about the new XJ.... except how it looks out back. The black D-pillar just really looks out of place. Unless, of course, the car is black itself, and you can't see the contrast. I'm still not sure why they chose to do that, as it just stands out too much. Otherwise, yea, it is a fantastic looking car.

Timged :)

Yeah I see what you mean, it's amazing though. Full B&W 7.1 sound system, 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. Such an awesome car.
