Can it be removed? Does it damage the finish if you remove it?

The website doesn't say anything about how to remove it or if its even removable.

It peels off. I would recommend using a little soapy water on a sponge to ease the removal process. It definitely will not hurt the finish.

Regarding the application process, I watched the wrapsol video but would like to add that it is a good idea to wipe down the skins with a clean slightly damp microfiber cloth. My sheets had little pieces of dust and cardboard from the packaging. So wipe them off before you lift them off the sheet. I used a piece of scotch tape to remove the pieces. And I didn't use the included spray solution, instead i made a mix of dishwashing soap and water in a larger spray bottle which was a lot easier to spray with one hand.

What else- i wrap the squeegee in a microfiber cloth so that i don't create scratches (more imp. to do on zagg). Don't use too much pressure or else you will stretch the material too much. Keep an absorbent microfiber cloth handy at the edges to catch the excess water as you squeegee so that you catch the water before it starts running into vents or the joints. Oh, and I put scotch tape over all the ports.

Putting Tape over the ports is an excellent idea. Thanks for the suggestion - I will keep it in mind when I get mine.

I would like to add an advice - do the bottom first since it's suspended up. Then do the lid. After you've done the lid, then do the inside and let it dry.

Agreed. Always cover the ports and the black plastic ventilation cover. I love Wrapsol and had it on Macbook Pro and ipad.

I just got the Wrapsol for 11" MBA yesterday and thought I might be the first one who post the picture. :p

One thing about the bottom piece for both 11" and 13".

The way they designed the film actually covers the screws, ie there are no cutout for the screws, unlike what they did with the MBP.

So they assume the MBA is not as user-upgradable as MBP. I am disappointed as what happens in a few years time when you have to open the bottom and replace the batteries? Or maybe someone may be able to replace with a bigger flash? Or even worse, you got a faulty logic board?

I emailed them twice and never got a response. Maybe the problem with their web form? But the matte finish and the quality of the film justified me to buy it without waiting the response.

I hope by the time I need to open the bottom cover, I can get a replacement from them.

Other than that, I am happy with the Wrapsol matte products (not the ultra one where it is very difficult or unreasonable to install it DRY without catching lints)

I also forgot to mention the Wrapsol package for 11" MBA that I got has a new version of microfiber cloth. Now the cloth is the type where you apply to a pair of glasses.

looks good. how long did that take to put on the 13"?

20-30 minutes. It is relatively easy to apply as the surfaces are flat. Curved surfaces like the back of the iPhone 3g are harder and take more patience.

Yeah, no cut outs. I wonder if this may change in the future as Wrapsol may have been rushing to get these out to meet the initial demand.

I don't forsee me opening up my MBA ever, but it would certainly be nice to be able to do without trashing the bottom cover. Wrapsol has good customer service so I would not be surprised if they would replace the bottom piece for free if you ever had to gain access to the insides.

I just got my wrapsol too for my 13" MBA. Application took about 20-30min. It was relatively easy. I did end up peeling it off and reapplying the solution a few times because of air bubbles that wouldn't squeegee out. I like it a lot more than the Best Skins Ever skin I got for my 2007 MacBook. It doesn't have a shiny or stick feel. It's barely noticeable, except when you look at it close up. It does look a bit glittery though, but it doesn't annoy me.

What i'm seeing is "wrapsol ultra is not available for this product at this time"
But i could still put it in my shopping cart. So what does that mean?

Do not trust their website. I had a couple wrong product shipped to me. They shipped me the Wrapsol for 13" MBP instead of MBA twice. But, They have a very good customer service, they overnighted the ones for my 2010 MBA for free. THey even did not charge me extra for the right ones.

I did not use any sleeve for my MBA. Just sip into my pack. It protects my MBA against any scratch. I recommend this better than Best SKin Ever and Invisible Shield.

PS. I am not affiliated with Wrapsol in any way. I am just a customer.

Hey OP. I really like this, but what I really want to know is how it feels? I have felt the invisishield type film before and it really bugged me. If this felt more natural, I would strongly consider it. I don't think I could handle it on the palm rest as that area just needs the bare aluminum touching the palms. I like the feel of the aluminum and the glass on my hands (I just wish the keyboard keys were aluminum capped so we didn't have to feel plastic there).

The thing is, I have never beat up, scratched, or damaged MBAs, and all I have done is keep them sandwiched with a magazine on the front or against a book or something in my bag (not even a designated laptop bag).

Do you really feel this will protect it from scratching? What type of situation could you see your MBA getting scratched in where this will absolutely help/protect it?

I mean, my wife's iPhone 3GS ended up being loose in her purse and it got destroyed in a few days... but an MBA shouldn't be thrown in a bag loose with the charger, keys, and etc. anyways as most have a laptop bag or some form of protection when carrying around.

Just curious from anyone that has these about actual level of protection and feel on the hands?

It feels different from Zagg which is sort of rubbery. This is a smoother material. The feel is pretty natural.

I think this will help with protecting from light scratches..I have a few knicks on my past MBPs from dropping USB cables and the magsafe adapter on the lid while setting it up at coffee shops. I am pretty careful with my laptops but stuff happens. I've tried the hard shells in the past and I never cared for the look or needed that much protection. Overall, the wrapsol this is a good compromise for me.

right now i am very careful when pulling the MBA from the bag. you know, zipper! that is the only thing really bothers me. and also i think it will create more grip when holding it.

edit: i already got a tracking # via fedex!

Interesting how yours looks more "glittery" than mine. My macbook pro has more of that glittery look. I wonder what is up with that.

love the look of wrapsol. I've always used Zagg or Bodyguardz and they can't beat the look.

But is it only me or is the top part too big for the MBA (13"). I have a couple of mm (~0.07") on every side sticking out..

This happened to me as well. I thought since this was first skin install that I just did something wrong. I was hoping for a "slightly" smaller than perfect so it was easier but no luck. I also had problems with the armrest piece as well being too perfect.

Yes, I think this is a first release that is not quite 100%. As the missing cutouts for the screws. I hope this will be revised later. Then I will get my replaced...

I emailed their support with photos. I have used both Zagg and Bodyguardz and they fit perfectly for MBA rev A-C

I'm the OP and I ordered three wrapsols ( two 13" and one 11"). The lid piece on the first 13" wrapsol (pictured at the beginning of this topic) fit better than my second. My second wrapsol 13" overhangs on the lid by less than 1/2 mm. The material stretches depending upon how much pressure you use while squeegeeing it down but I am pretty sure that I didn't use any more pressure than my first application so I think the cut is just slightly big. The bottom piece is fine. I have not contacted wrapsol as I may just live with it. It would be nice if they could send just the top piece.

It's mostly the lighting. Light directly overhead when I took the pictures makes it look really glittery. Probably some in camera sharpening is also accentuating the glittery effect too. I noticed while I was in a Starbucks and was working directly under a halogen lamp the MBA really catches the light. In normal conditions, the wrapsol is barely visible.
