Apple has all the money in the world and the best chips but somehow. someway, they can't compete with the Google Pixel when it comes to still taking pictures. I have a Pixel 4 XL from 2019 and I still think it takes better pictures than my new iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I will say, the Pixel 2XL that I had years ago took excellent photos.

If the setup is nice the results are great. Nice natural colors and overall quality!
Ok I‘m letting the cat outta the bag:

This photo was taken with an iPhone 4S in 2011 and was released by Apple as part of a couple of sample photos. I‘m not kidding.

This was just an experiment, make of it what you will.

;)

People should start using ProRAW with their iPhone 14 Pro's for the 48megapixel images! They are amazing (and I'm usually very picky with image quality..). Can't figure out why they can't include "save as jpeg" in the camera-app though..

Agree, a little toggle for saving 48mp images as jpeg, I use a shortcut for this conversion via the photos app, works great.

I my have ended up in a certain London queue yesterday, but oh my, what a perfect opportunity to try out my new 14 Pro Max! Very impressed, I struggled with the half moon, but to be fair 10 hours in I was freezing, hungry and snapping away without much thought for settings 😬 …I’ll just pop it behind one of the London Eye, pods 🤣

Are you able to share or direct to the shortcut... I would love this. Someone earlier posted a 'recipe' for this type of shortcut which I tried to follow but, um, I got lost trying to do it from scratch 🤷‍♂️

Could anyone upload a 48mp ProRaw file taken in daylight or know where I could find some samples? I'd love to edit them in Lightroom but couldn't find any, except for 1 picture from Austin Mann's review.

Nice. When we visited London from the US, we stayed in the hotel in the old city building at the lower right of the Wheel.
