It's very simple: open it in Preview and export it to get a 48 Mpixel JPEG / HEIF / whatever. Unless you do need to crop / adjust, very straightforward and works with these images just fine.If you find or create a thread or info somewhere, please let me know.
Will do. Nothing yet but its earlyIf you find or create a thread or info somewhere, please let me know.
Since I have not used 48 megapixels before but it seems most (all?) I see talk about using it to have an image to crop and work with. What I would like to see more about is what (for the inexperienced like me ;-) ) I can use this capability for yeah I have exported some just to do it but wondering what things I can now use this feature for. It's very simple: open it in Preview and export it to get a 48 Mpixel JPEG / HEIF / whatever. So far I agree colors outside are more real to what I see. Yesterday the bright blue sky looked perfect in my photos. Waiting for good sunsets and sunrises next ;-)One thing I’ve noticed coming from a 13 Pro, the images taken on the 14 Pro have less HDR applied in sunny/bright scenes, the 13 Pro images used to “pop” and look really colourful (sometimes a bit too colourful) but the 14 Pros do not, that’s not a bad thing though, the 14 Pro images are more true to life of what I see with my own two eyes.
Just an observation.
I'll post some examples later in my separate articleLooked at your article, and while I am not a professional iphone camera user and I also do some DSLR work with my
Canon EOS 7D Mark II with a Canon EF 100-400 mm f4.5-5.6 IS II USM Telephoto for bird and nature shots I would not consider myself professional. I swapped back and forth a bit on your 11 and 14 panorama shots and I have to admit I am not quite sure what I am looking for with the oversharpening given I never looked at that detail in my iphone line over years. For a non professional can you show/describe more the actual difference (the photos other than shade intensity and such ) looked similar to my eyes. I am just not sure what to look for to be honest.
Well, at times WAAAY better resolution (unless you look for 48 Mpixel resolution in the corners, where the lens indeed struggles). And of course you won't have that hideous oversharpening iOS otherwise applies to jpeg/heif photos.Since I have not used 48 megapixels before but it seems most (all?) Thanks those links were very helpful learned something new. Will have to start playing with my 48 megapixel now ;-). Much appreciatedI'll post some examples later in my separate article
Look for oversharpening halos around, say, buildings. Some example articles explaining them: https://support.submit.shutterstock...ction-and-sharpening-look-like?language=en_US , http://shutha.org/node/834 etc.

I do, both on the phone and LR Classic on the PC. LR needs an update!

Is this Raw format, cause it’s mind boggling just how incredible and detailed those petals are. I’m itching waiting for my case to arrive and screen protector.
