Today, Jyväskylä, Finland, autumn colors, converted from 48 Mpixel ProRAWs with Preview with absolutely no post-processing.

I tried to produce as comparable images as possible so I tried keeping the framing etc. the same between shooting the 48 Mpixel ProRAW and the 12 Mpixel HEIC counterparts. As you can see, all original HEIC shots are marred by oversharpening issues - that's the single worst thing with iPhones and that's one should shoot ProRAW only. Look for images with "-origHEIC" in their names; those are the iPhone's direct 12 Mpixel HEIC shots.
