Would you say Halide is worth it? I remember watching a video (iphone 12 or 13? ) comparing LR, Halide and the stock app all shooting raw and somewhat unsurprisingly the ProRaw came out the cleanest with the most shadow detail.

Well, after getting my most expensive phone ever (the 1st iPhone shooting RAW) I thought let's spend some more on a good app. Got Halide perpetual licence and used it. A bit. Not enough time to pickup this old hobby, so can't really give you advice. But like aspenextreme03 already said above, try it out.

One thing that's incredibly handy is the shortcut to the 0.5 1x & 3x camera Halide offers. Tab > swipe right > choose lens > take photo. I can easily use it while cycling!

I'll give the 7 day trial ago and see if it can pull anything extra that's worth while I wish apple would just put in focus peaking and iso/shutter control into the stock app. They're clearly marketed at "pro's" now, so there's no excuse for a dumbed down interface, or at the very least, give an option for a "pro" shooting mode.

Hear! Hear! Yes, full manual has been on the wish list for far too long. Not just from me...much more from so many other people. People who know what they're doing won't complain "My RAW photo is too dark' - this iPhone is crap!"
