The first one is ProRES, but with the ultra wide. It doesn’t seem as sharp as ProRES with the main camera. The other two are normal, one wide and one ultra wide auto macro.

The forth shot is another ProRES in ultra wide.

It is cloudy so the light is muted.

Just point and shoot.

The ultra wide angle won't be as sharp as it's only 12mp vs 48mp, plus I'd imagine the lens isn't as good.
Agree. Beautiful! What is the location of those pics? I wish everyone posted general locations so we know where these awesome shots are
taken.
Thanks very much. The tree photos are at Padley Gorge, Derbyshire, UK. The sky was just on the field near my house, again Derbyshire UK.

There's so many great places in Derbyshire for photography. Around Padley Gorge you have Surprise View, Higger Tor, and Stanage Edge. Then there's Ladybower, Derwent Edge, Derwent and Howden Dam, Monsal Head, Monsal Weir, Curbar Edge, Baslow Edge, The Roaches, Three Shires Head, Mam Tor, Cave Dale, Dovedale, Win Hill, Bamford Edge and Lumsdale Falls to name a few ;)

More flowers! October/November certainly is a season here in TX. I can’t wait till the Spring wildflowers.

(The wind was blowing so the wide angle is blurry but I tried to crop out the worst offenders. The other one is an auto-macro)

I had one come up on the patio and was acting rather strange. I was going to go out and shoo it away, but the wife said to leave it alone. It was likely sick with rabies, or something, and wasn't in the mood to socialize at the time. But they are cute, and Very Busy...

They really are cute. This was one of three - one of which curled up and went to sleep on the mat outside the door! Had a family of 5 last year - a Mom and 4 young ones. The young ones were playing and wrestling on our lawn - they looked just puppies or kittens playing together. But those teeth and claws could sure do a number on you or your pet.

my parents pup was miffed last night cause she only got dog food and we had tasty food. she packs the large brown sad eyes really well. If she could have cried, she would have. I had nuggets. She wanted nuggets badly so she sat next to me all night. I attached shot and touch up

Or your door, windows, upholstery, clothes, drywall, etc... Friends ran a group of cottages on a lake years ago, and the raccoons were laying waste to their units over the winter. One was near condemned because of their 'work'. They ended up selling out and the units were sold for houses. I guess it helped evict the little things. They likely moved on to the neighbors who were fair weather residents. HAHAHAHAH!!

Well this depends, there’s plenty of professional work undertaken with a mobile phone so by definition this would make it a professional camera.

In terms of image quality will a phone camera rival the likes of something like the latest DSLR/Mirrorless camera? Well the answer is clearly no, not until you can stick a full frame sensor into a phone. However, there are situations where it can be close. I took test shots comparing both the iphone 14 pro main camera against my Sony A9 mark ii with Sony Zeus’s 16-35mm f4 (@24mm f11) and at iPad screen size it wasn’t easy to see the difference. (both processed in Lightroom to match as closely as possible, and Adobe profile was used for the iphone image to get rid of the horrible ProRaw processing).

Now of course this was in good light and in a controlled setting and there will be MANY situations where the difference will be night and day, but it shows that technology is improving all the time and I can see a point where the lines are much more blurred across many more settings.

The reality for me though is despite technology continuing to improve and the possibility image quality MAY get very close I can never see myself giving up my camera in preference for a phone. Phones are not enjoyable to use as a camera imo. They feel awkward and clunky and in no way engaging. They’re handy to have for sure, especially as an ‘always on you’ camera but I doubt any serious photographer would choose to use one over a ‘proper’ camera.

I would definitely prefer to shoot with my high-end DSLR gear but the 14 Pro Max is always with me and provides very good quality images in ProRAW. It is my preferred device for shooting 4K video.
