Any idea why selfies look like crap after taking the photo on my 15? Like it looks perfect before taking the shot but once you go look at the photos, it has this low quality looking smudges all over. I was literally shocked and thought my camera was acting up and rebooted the phone to no luck. The colors are also off.

My 12 PM selfies look much better

Here an example.

Probably light is too low, high iso, & maybe camera movement will affect the final image. I usually use the 1x camera if I take a selfie. It’s easily done, just center your reflection (mainly your face) in the glass of the 1x camera and fire away. You usually don’t have to be perfectly centered if using 48mp, you can crop the image afterwards.

A few shots with my iPhone 15 pro max using my 10” telescope, shooting through the eyepiece. I have a phone holder made by Moove-Shoot-Move for telescopes and binoculars etc that I used to attach to the eyepiece. The Orion Nebula is a 5” exposure. Short because I don’t have tracking on my telescope. The moon shots are through The eyepiece as well

Great pics! The shot of the Orion Nebula is particularly amazing!

I have a similar eyepiece adapter, and have been able to get some pretty solid photos of the moon through my Meade ETX-125. I haven't tried it on deep space objects, though.

Thanks! Deep space objects are a little harder to obtain because you need a scope that tracks the sky and hopefully have a scope with fast aperture. You should try some deep sky objects. I’d like to see what you get
