That looks good. Is that an onion ring?

No ☺️

Here in Brazil we call it "American Cheese" breaded.

I have no idea what the real American cheese would be, but it is very creamy. As it is breaded, when we bite, it bursts and flows that delicious and very creamy cheese.

Wondering if you can share how to were able to take this shot, with the black backdrops.

I took the photo at night and the place where I took the photo was dark, with only one light, from the restaurant, directed to a table where I selected to take the photo. And I lowered the exposure to -0.7. When editing the photo, I increased the contrast a little, generating this result ☺️

it could be brie. I've had something very similar - brie in breadcrumbs - on top of the burger

Which is better: Selecting the 2x zoom or snapping a 1x using the 48MP snap and manually crop it to our liking?

Personal opinion, granted, but I much prefer to snap at 1x w/48MP and crop accordingly - can't place my finger on it but I "feel" 1x yields better overall results compared to 2x.

Of course YMMV.

These days I had this same doubt, but I haven't tested it in practice yet. Theoretically speaking, when we take a 48mp photo, we can give up to 4x digital zoom in on it without losing quality. If you take a photo at 2x, the iPhone will make a single crop and record a 12mp photo, limiting you to give more crop to the image. Is that the correct reasoning? I need to test it!

As a long time photographer, I suggest shooting at 48mp, then cropping. This way your photo will be using the smaller (non-quad) pixels. This means higher resolution and clarity. Even if you crop the 48mp image to 12mp, the 48mp crop will look better than the 2x crop using the quad sensor layout.

love the train track image, we are expecting snow today might try and capture some photos
I don’t get snow in Southeast Texas, so share what you get. I’d love to see and have snowfall here. Although those of you that get snow all the time are probably tired of it.

We have plenty in Norway at the time, you can have some of ours: we're snowing in here. o_O
