A weekend away from Las Vegas to California. Too bad I ended up coming home sick. But, it was fun.

Date: October, 1st 2021.
Location: San Diego (Sea World), San Clemente and Long Beach, California.

Most of the macro and telephoto shots I've seen seem to be short on micro-contrast and detail in general and I'm still skeptical of the performance of the ultra-wide lens.

The standard lens imagery on the other hand looks really impressive, especially night time photography, where they seem to have taken serious steps to maintain detail at a much higher level than in previous models where it was lost in noise reduction. Computational depth of field control also keeps getting better.

I also hope more people take advantage of ProRAW. That makes a tremendous difference on these phones. I'm getting the sense people are so excited with the closer focusing for example that they're just barfing stuff out with the most basic automated settings for the novelty value and not taking full advantage yet of the device.

You can’t get a accurate reading on quality on these forums, photos lose contrast and sharpness when you upload them on here.

Photos look gorgeous on my phone. ?

Great camera (don't know why posting makes them so dark though, not like that on my export)

Couple of photos from Zion this week. Probably most proud of the night sky shot. No equipment other than a $20 tripod from Amazon. Spent about 10 seconds editing in Apple Photos App (minor edits). Pretty incredible what a phone can capture with ease!
