any tips on how the hell to get pics like this? I ordered a tripod and I know im going to need to find a dark park with little light pollution around me for a decent chance to get a pic like this. other than that and a 30 second exposure time, any other tips?

The 12MP sensor size just doesn't cut it anymore. So many of these shots look incredible as thumbnails but once you open them up fully you start to realize they look very low res. Apple should go at least 16MP next year if not 24 or 32. This year's Pixel phone does a great job of using the extra pixels even if the iPhone photos look better overall. iPhone processing + higher megapixel count would be a seriously huge camera upgrade.

you need to have good visibility, the sky was extremely clear + make sure that ProRaw is turned on

Yes it would help for detail and cropping but but don’t agree 100%. There are still quite a few dslrs that are 12mp that produce solid shots you can print at a decent size. The super old Nikon d3 as an example. Yes the 2007 sensor is superior I am just referencing the 12mp

It is a lot more about the light you have and can get some very good shots. In low light dont even bother as the noise is way to much. Higher Mp will only make that worse
